Ford F-100 1950 Description

1950 F-1

This truck has a very good running flat head V8 and a 4 speed transmission. When driving the truckyou need to double clutch the truck in betweenshifting gearsor the transmission grinds when trying to go into gear. Even with the double clutch you need to position the stick right when switching gears or it will still grind. I don't know if this is typical or if the transmission is just getting worn out. The engine was converted to start with the key instead of the original push button start on the dash (which now operates a horn). The engine starts every time, ithout hesitation. It idles very nice and drives down the road great (once you get used to shifting the transmission). It goes down the road nice and straight and has very good tires and wheels. Thebrakes alsofunction great. It has a very nice sounding dual exhaust (not too loud). The truck was converted to 12 volt and has newer gauges installed as well. All the lights and electrical work good. It still has the original heater and the dash was not cutup for a stereo or anything. The interior and the paint was all redone about 16 years ago. The interior still looks good with no tearsin the seat. The head liner is all still in good condition and the floor is very solid. All the glass isin great shape other than the two wing windows have a little bubbling on the bottom of them. There is somebondo that iscomingoff in a few areas on the body of thetruck. Also, he paint is starting to crack in a few areas. I tried to take detailed pictures of all the areas. The worst areas is onthe hood, he back tow fenders andwhere the running boards meet the fenders. It's been driven for the last 16 years after thepaint was done, o there is typical wear and tear on the exterior and interior. The paint could be addressed or driven as is. Itstill looks very nice from a distance. Someone installed two metal skulls on the front fenders as you can see in pictures. The running boards are in good shape. The hood was redone about 3 years ago and is a slightly different shade of blue than the rest of the truck. The engine bay looks pretty good and the frame and undercarriage is in very good shape. This is a very fun weekend driver. Please email any questions and leave your # if you would like a call back.

Thank you, evin
