Ford Mustang 1965 Description
Looking for a real Matching #s K code Convertible ?? One that hasn't been taken apart so many times nobody really knows what's original anymore ?? This might be your car. It took me 2 years to find a real one. And she's been mine for over 8 years now. This is out of my personal collection and not the usual "flipper car" you see somebody just trying to make a buck off of. Of course the block is vin. stamped and all parts are original and dates correct right down to the tag on the intake. Toploader trans is tagged "65 close ratio. Original 9" rear is dated and tagged 3:50 ratio. The carb is a Holley 600 manual choke replacement. No p. steering or brakes on a K code. The drivetrain is believed to be 50. 00 original miles. I purchased the car from a Mustang collector in Sarasota Florida. He had just completed a full bare metal restoration and replaced all chrome. trim. top and the interior. All panels fit perfectly and open and close with the touch of your finger. The drivetrain was perfect original and remained untouched. As a SAAC member from 1974 I've had my share of HIPO mustangs and Shelby's over the last 50 years. This car runs. drives and sounds just like a 65-66 Shelby and the top goes down !! It's fast and loves to go for a ride. The best of both worlds. It is registered and listed in the K Code HiPo registry. Meticulous storage has been given and there is not a pebble chip or scratch on the car. It is painted J code Rangoon red. it's original color. Not the usual wrong color repaint. No dents. bubbles. rust. crazing or fading. No rub throughs etc. Every one thinks it was just painted. I'm trying to add a video. If possible I'll and a link in the add somewhere.
