Ford Model A 1931 Description
Late 1931 Model A Ford Town Sedan, lant Windshield. This was one of the personal cars of the late Jerry Isbell, roprieter of Jerry's The Model A Store near Orlando, lorida. After driving it for a few years, erry decided to do a body off fix up. The teardown went better than the put -back, s it became another item never crossed off Jerry's bucket list. The chassis is virtualy done--all cleaned and painted with many new parts and is equipped with a touring motor. The engine was built by Doug McPherson of Vero Beach, la using all new parts on a crack-free block. It includes high compression head, u1r cam, ounterweighted crank, ightened flywheel, 8 clutch and cover along with the original rebuilt side-bowl carburetor.. The transmission has new bearings. A new Mitchel overdrive is installed in the drivetrain. The brakes are hydraulic, ith new cylinders, hoes and lines. Also has five new Firestone tires and tubes. The body is painted Copra Drab and Chicle Drab. It has an older paint job---very driveable but not show quality. The interior is stripped, eady for trim out. There is a new upholstery kit included. Being a Model A parts dealer, erry laid out many new parts that were never installed. The body is currently sitting on the chassis, eady for the new body blocks and bolts to be installed. Buford has a clear Florida title. With some reassembly and interior trim out this would be a very desirable touring car or a very roomy fun car. The car also comes with a beavertail flatbed trailer. Although not new by any means, t has working brakes, winch, ood tires and is very road worthy.
