. This 1955 Ford Thunderbird Roadster . offered by the Vault Classic Cars dealership. is a beautiful car with great options! 292 V-8 and engine dress-up kit. Power Brakes. Power seat. and Power windows! Tachometer. AM Radio. and Ford-O-Matic automatic transmission and convertible top! It's in excellent condition. it runs and drives great. and it's a fun. reasonably priced way to enjoy 2 seat open air motoring at it's finest! . The '55 T-Bird was a beautiful car. influenced by the European sports cars of the era as well as the Jet Age that had just begun! . The wrap-around windshield. and the hood scoop are great features! . Nicely done in Raven Black - color code "A". original color for this car ! And the bodywork is very nice and straight. . Lovely Chrome and stainless accents the Raven Black beautifully. . This car runs great - the 292 V-8 is smooth and has plenty of power. the brakes are brand new. and the car operates as it should ! . We can see in this photo the tire tread is excellent. they're Firestone whitewalls. . Nice ! . Lovely interior. with new correct upholstery. a beautiful dashboard. and a gorgeous steering wheel. . Here's a Video of the car in operation! . Wow! The interior is beautiful! Note the telescoping steering column and the floor mounted automatic shift quadrant. . The interior is not only beautiful. but it gives us a look at the great styling - the wrap-around engine turned band that ties the whole design together. the clear back-lit speedometer face. and the tachometer and clock flanking the guage cluster. It's just fun to look at ! . Lets look closer - perfectly clear lenses and vibrant gauge stencils. awesome steering wheel. perfectly clear steering wheel plastic and emblem - it all speaks of a car that was nicely restored! . Of course there are no cracks in that dashboard! . Excellent doorpanel. Note the Power Seat control is the upper set of switches. The power windows are the lower set of switches. Seat and windows work great in all directions! . Right side doorpanel. . there's the 292 V-8. nice. clean. correct and running great! It's all stock and correct. including the correct size 6 volt battery. . those finned Thunderbird valvecovers are the greatest! . Clean! . Underhood is clean too. . Code "A" is for Raven black. . Nice convertible top with the chrome band at the header. It's nice and clean. . Nice clear window plastic. with a few distortions from being stored in the "down" position. the top has some wrinkles from storage also. . Top fits nice and tight. . Nice top bows and inner top. . Top bows as they should be. You'll note there is NOT a hardtop with this car. . Beautiful tailight lenses and chrome. The only chrome on the car that looks a little older is the rear bumper bar - maybe still original chrome? Otherwise the plating on this car is bright and beautiful. . Although the paint is very nice. it does show a bit of age - this corner of the hood / cowl was obviously touched up. and there are some scratches / chips here and there. . Here's a touch-up on the nose of the car. It's not a show car. but it's still very. very nice. and it's obvious that the original restoration was done very well indeed. . . Nice! Note that the tailpipes run through the "jet port" bumperguard. More Jet-Age styling ! . Excellent hubcaps and emblems! . Nice trunk and whitewall spare! . Nicely done inner trunk. . Clean California title and plates. . The seat folds forward so the top mechanism can emerge. . Automatic transmission - a very desirable feature in a T-Bird! .
