Ford Model A 1931 Description

Fully restored rumble-seat Roadster from theVolo Museum in Illinois. this car has been in our family for the last ten years. Last summer a fresh engine from Antique Engine Rebuilding in Skokie . Ill was installed. The odometer was reset to zero at the time of the restoration. The car has 3900 miles since the full restoration. and there are approximately 500 miles on the new engine. The engine has a brand new Snyder 6. 0 compression head. insert bearings. nbsp; along with fresh plugs. points and a new period correct Apco oil pressure and coolant temp gauge set. I have installed the "Highway Touring" engine: The rebuild included the balanced/lightened flywheel option and counterbalanced crankshaft for a smooth running engine. starts. shifts and drives beautifully The body is all original Ford steel in Brewster Green over black fenders. with apple green pinstripe and wheels. A proper brown interior is in great condition. As this car has been driven on the open roads (in fair weather only) there are a few chips in the paint. I can email those in more detail if you prefer. It features dual side mount spares with SS covers and mirrors. an extended rear bumper to accommodate the rear trunk. Everything operates as it should. The restoration was a full chassis-off project that involved either reconditioned original parts or new. as needed.
