1936 Ford Panel Delivery You are viewing a very cool and rare panel that has been chopped and built for driving. Something you don’t see every day. The build started in 2000 and finished in 2004 with 72K miles driven since finished. Third Owner. It is in very good condition and well maintained. Runs and drives super nice down the road at hiway speeds. The panel rides very solid. Please read on for more particulars of the panel: Body/Paint: The panel was originally purchased and used by St. Helen’s Ice & Beverage out of Oregon. The second owner brought it to Washington State and it sat in storage for many years. The Panel was overall in very good condition with some rust issues that were repaired when the build began. All Henry steel with the exception of the rear roll pan. rear and side door bottom that were replaced with steel. Rear fenders are fiberglass. The spare holder is original steel using two to make one so it would accommodate a larger tire. The top was chopped 3 inches and is perfect from a visual standpoint. Lots of room inside to see clearly. but brought the look needed to give the panel a great stance and feel. Chopping a panel is not for the inexperienced. It was difficult and done by professionals and it shows. The roof is not filled and the insert is in excellent condition. Cowling and grill are steel after market. The hood is original with factory louvers. Original cowl vent is functional. The windshield is seamed in and is not functional. There are a few small areas of a little rust in spots with some contamination under the paint on the right lower rear edge of the panel. The paint is base/clear Dodge intense blue made by Metric System. The fenders are a darker blue with pin striping and mural done by Don Audel who is national known since the late 50’s. The paint is a great color for this panel and shows well. There are a few repaired chips here and there from road use. but looks very good. Blinkers in both headlights and front bumper. Interior: The interior is a blue cloth throughout with wood accents. It is in excellent condition and very comfortable. Very clean. Designed for long road trips. The bucket seat are out of a Datsun. Storage area behind the seats. Rear has a removable seat and can be used as a camper and sleeps two comfortably. Single disc CD player. nbsp; Vintage Air AC that blows cold. no power steering. cruise control. no power brakes. no tach. speedo. temp. fuel. volt and oil pressure. The back floor of the panel is done in a really nice bamboo wood that looks very professional. Wood ascents in the cab is maple. Running Gear: All the running gear was rebuilt when the build started. 350 with 350 horse with Edelbrock 650cfm carb. HEI. ceramic coated shorty headers. Regular fan and runs cool with Griffith aluminum radiator. Trans is a TH 350 with shift kit and Lokar shifter. Rear end is Ford 8 inch with hiway gears. non posi and gets 20 miles per gallon. All in good working order. Suspension: The frame is stock and boxed with added cross supports. Restored and powder coated. After market leaf springs were used on the rear with Mustang II front rack and pinion from suspension. The stance is perfect. Bright work: The bright work chrome or stainless was restored and shows some signs of wear. but very presentable. Glass: All replaced. Exhaust: Exhaust was replaced 7 years ago with approximately 40K miles. Sounds really nice. Brakes: Disc brakes and drum rears. Master cylinder is hidden and mounted to the frame. All in good working order. Wheels/Tires: 185/70/14 front and 225/70/15 rear with a lot of good rubber left. Approximately 35K miles on the tires. Cragar SS mags including the spare. Summary: If you like trucks and or panels that offer a unique experience this panel is worthy of your consideration. It was built right to begin with. solid and well maintained.
