The Best of Both Worlds. A rare 1939 Ford 1/2 ton. 85hp original flathead V8. that looks nice enough to take to cruise night. but not a trailer queen your afraid to drive! I want to be clear here because there are many thrown together old trucks. This is an all steel originaltruck. NO fiberglass. Original motor. Original transmission. engine is strong and transmission shifts well. It was restored in the early 90's. The owner passed away and the family stored his treasured truck inside for 7 years after his death. then I was able to purchase it. In the past 3 months I have replaced or repaired the following items: * I have receipts for allGas Tank: removed. professionally cleaned and boiled. then resealed with POR tank sealerNew sending UnitNew fuel lineNew fuel pumpCarburetor removed. cleaned and new kit installedNew headlight bulbs and rubber sealsStarter professionally rebuiltNew plugs & pointsNew glass taillight lensNew Muffler and tailpipeThe interior has been restored by the previous owner and in nice condition. The sheet metal is really really good. Most of these trucks were used like tools. the body. hood. fenders and running boards are amazingly straight. When I was underneath installing the new fuel line. I could tell all the fenders and running boards are original and rust free to the truck. Very unusual for a 76 year old truck. Doorsand hood open and shut like new. Windows roll and down easily. The brakes still need to be repaired and I would suggest new tires. I have decided to sell. to assist my daughterwith college expenses. This truck would be a very easy full restoration or with very little additional money could be a wonderfully fun driver.
