Ford Model T 1926 Description
1926 Ford Model T 1926 Ford Roadster Pro Street W/John Lingenfelter 860hp Engine Pto Street. Fiberglass body. former car builder John Bliss built the car in 1987. it's Burgundy (black cherry ) with gray interior. the whole front end is chrome and has four wheel disc brakes. this car has approximately 1000 to 2000 miles on it. the car has a clear Massachusetts title and is titled as a 1926 Ford. the engine was built by the late John Lingenfelter of John Lingenfelter performance, please read about him if you know who he was then you would understand the sheer quality of the engine in this car. it is a Chevy 454 bored and stroked to 496ci. I have the original dyno sheet dated 12 15 86 when the engine was built. the horsepower is 862.5 at 6500 RMP and 783.8 ft pounds. torque at 4500 rpm. there is an 871 Hampton blower (15% overdriven) with 2- 1150 Dominator carburetors that tops off this baby. the transmission is a two-speed Super Glide the rear end is a Dana with 4 link suspension.the rear tires are Mickey Thompson sportsman 31X16.50-15 Lt. the front tires are Cooper 6.00 - 15 Lt. the dashboard has digital electric gauges that feature Speedometer (not working due to the lack of an adapter for the transmission) water temp, il pressure, pm, olts, nd fuel. on the steering column or mechanical Auto Meter oil pressure and water temp gauges.because the car is titled as a 1926 Ford there is no horn or seatbelts. Hot Rod Magazine featured this car in an article titled the baddest engines in the 1988 best of hot hot rod issue. the engine was built for a car builder name John bliss in 1986. He had 8 of these engines built for his business of building hot rods and this was number one. When he went out of business he kept this car displayed in his family room next to his pool table. In 2001 he must have decided a car is not an appropriate decoration for a family room and sold it. That's when I bought it. In the time I owned it I only drove it to car shows and short runs around town never ever raced it.now it's time for the car to move on. You can contact me at 508-414-7720 Rob
