Ford Torino 1970 Description

YOU ARE BIDDING ON A 1970 Torino G. T. 351 C 2BBL C4 trans. p. s. disc brakes. ac. one owner California car. brought to Ohio 12yrs. ago. DRIVE TRAINEngine compartment was cleaned. prepped. epoxy primed. and painted with PPG urethane matte black. Engine and trans were freshened up 15 yrs. ago before original owner moved to Ohio. The odometer shows 13k miles which is actually 113k miles since the odometer only has 5 digits. Both the engine and trans runs. shifts. and drives like new. I did replace most of the gaskets and seals on the engine. trans. and rear end. No leaks anywhere. Engine and trans are both stock with new 2 1/4 aluminized dual exhaust and turbo mufflers which exit in the stock location just under the quarter panels. All steering and suspension components are tight with no leaks. It has had some components replaced over the years - lower arms. ball joints. sway bar links. and strut bushings. I did rebuild the control valve. power cylinder. and did replace all power steering lines. BRAKES have been replaced along with all hoses and the master cylinder. It brakes very nicely. I always remove the booster and install a larger master cylinder which gives the feeling of about 50% power brakes. The booster and linkage will come with the car if wanted and the booster needs rebuilt. INTERIORThe interior is extremely nice. New carpet and newer front bucket seat covers. Dash pad is perfect and still feels soft. The headliner is very nice along with the original door panels. The original owner said he bought the car with bucket seats from the FORD dealership. although the Marti Report shows it was built with a bench seat. I believe him as the car did sit at the dealership for almost a year before it was sold so it was switched out before it was sold to him. All weather stripping has been replaced along with all the chrome. Bumpers. belt line moldings. and emblems are new. BODYThe body was stripped. metal prepped. and epoxy primed. The car does have patches on both rear lower quarters. It also had small dents on most panels requiring small amounts of body work to make it arrow straight. The car was painted apart with 3 coats of PPG single stage urethane. sanded. and polished then reassembled. No rust on frame rails. floors. or trunk. Under carriage was cleaned and a light coat of undercoating was applied to freshen the appearance. Has the original 14x7 wheels with caps and rings. The rims were sandblasted. epoxy primed. and painted with PPG matte black urethane. It has new Cooper 225-70-14 tires. SELLER'S NOTESThe car does have AC. however I did not install the compressor. condenser. or lines. Everything goes with the car to re-install including all bolts. brackets. compressor and the old condenser. The compressor does turn freely but the condenser will need replaced. All controls work and switch inside just as it should. Contact:Greg @ 740-319-3672 Weekdays - 4 PM - 9 PM EST Weekends - Anytime. DragPac429@aol. com
