Ford Model T 1926 Description

VINTAGE Hot Rod with Florida Title VIN 14200539. Original 1926 body on custom 2X4 frame. New steel deck-trunk lid with lock/key. Working doors and latches. The body is in very good condition for it's age. The metal has been sealed with a satin gloss finish. The windshield is new glass. The seats are removal cushions. The back lights are original '39 Ford with blue dots and new bulbs; still need to be hooked up to the wire harness that is already in place. The working headlights are Dietz type with new 7" bulbs mounted on old worn chrome shocks. Additional wiring for turn signals. brake switch. horn. and accessories are in place. Fuse panel is under dash. All new gauges (TEMP-OIL PRESS-VOLT-FUEL) and senders installed and working. The Vintage Stewart Warner speedometer is missing the drive cable but needle moves freely and lamp works (stopped @ 5. 07 mi. ). New 12V battery located in trunk. Aluminum 9 gal. fuel tank with sender installed. Ford 1947 59A flathead V8 with Offy alum heads. Ford 94 carburetor on intake. The ignition is a Mallory electronic distributor and coil with new wires and plugs. Fenton cast iron exhaust manifolds with mufflers. Modern 12V Ford starter/solenoid. New radiator hoses/clamps/fan belt. Bee-Hive oil filter canister (spare filters incl. ). Electric fuel pump with block-off plate on oil filler tube in case you want to go with original pump (avail from Speedway). All new carb linkage with spoon type pedal. Three-speed Ford transmission tall shift lever and 8-Ball . Ford '39-'42 juice brakes on all corners with new shoes installed; under-floor M/C with modern GM style proportion valve. The brake and clutch pedals move freely. The brakes still need additional bleeding and adjusting for car to be road worthy. Rear end is a Ford Banjo with torque tube shaft and original wishbone hung with Ford buggy spring and modern air shocks. Front end is 4-bar type. with spring behind tube axle and pan hard bar. Spindles are Ford '46 originals that were rebuilt. Steering is Vega cross-steer with a modern style GM column. Ford pattern steel 15 X 7 wheels with original Moon covers. Tires are 215/70/15 fronts and 255/60/15 back. Overall. most of the work is complete.
