Ford Mustang 1967 Description
I’m selling my 1967 Shelby GT500 Eleanor convertible (it’s a GT500 clone that was built on a 67’ GT convertible). No expense was spared in this build… I personally spent over $120. 00 building this car (start to finish… build took almost 5 years). The car was finished about 5 years ago and I’ve driven it about 600m since (horrible… I know!). It’s been a garage queen since completion. Took it to the Mustang Owners Club of America car show two years ago and won every award (they come with the car). In hindsight. I wouldn’t build a car again (actual builders were Kovacs Hot Rod Shop in CT. Long Island Mustang in NY. and Auto Tek in Austin TX… they all built the car). Next time… I buy one already built from someone like me who overspent! My loss is your gain. A few highlights: ENGINE / DRIVETRAIN ----- brand new blueprinted 383 Stroker w/ manual 5 speed Tremec. new clutch & new 9” rear end. Holley Performance carb w/ polished intake – drivetrain produces ~440bhp (car does awesome burnouts); electronic ignition. new Classic Air AC unit added; polished serpentine belt system. new radiator w/ overflow canister. extra cooling fan. lots of polished metal in the detailed engine compartment (engine is jewelry); new disc brakes all around w/ painted red calipers; custom Eleanor style side exhaust (looks & sounds AWESOME). Car has 602 miles on it since completion. INTERIOR ---- Everything is new. NOS AM radio. dash. extra gauges. glove box. emblems. carpets. floor mats; Shelby racing seat belts & seats front & rear. Shelby steering wheel. chrome tilt steering column. shifter. center console. bullet side mirrors. etc (all of it new); new gas tank. trunk carpeting; extra aircraft toggle switches on the center console just in case (I was originally going to put a NOS system in the car – decided it had PLENTY of power already); leather wrapped roll bar. For additional photos or questions. you can call or text me at 978-761-8788 (Adam Taylor) EXTERIOR ------ Foose wheels w/ brand new tires all around; painted on GT500 stripes (not a sticker set). molded & feathered in fender flares (not screwed on). high end tuxedo black with silver/grey stripes that carry through engine compartment. trunk and onto the bumpers / lower valence; Fiberglass hood & trunk lid. hood pins. painted bumpers; best quality cloth convertible top w/ folding glass rear window (it’s perfect); new chrome trim & Shelby badging everywhere. ONLY DEFECT ------ car has a few scratches on passenger side rear (I brushed against a lift post while backing into my garage). Pictures show this. but it’s really hard to see. It’s not a dent… it’s a series of 3-4 scratches that need to be sanded & buffed out & repainted. If you want a show car. you should get it fixed (probably a thousand bucks… worst case). Also – I didn’t connect the radio – radio and speakers are there… just need to be connected. OTHER ------ I never titled the car. I bought it in Long Island. sent it to the original builder… and proceeded to forget about it for several years. Once I got it shipped to my home in Austin. I made a half-hearted attempt at titling / registering it… I got an Inspection sticker (passed without a problem) – then got busy again and didn’t finish the process. For cars this old. NY state does not issue titles… they only issue Transferable Registrations. I received the Transferable Registration card from the woman I bought the car from in Long Island – back in 2005. New owner gets the Transferrable Reg.
