Ford Mustang 1966 Description

This is the actual Mustang built for and used in the “Son of the Mask” film. The car itself is not your typical “just needs to look good on film” Movie Car restoration. this car was done nice! Has show quality paint over a rust free California original sheet metal body. New interior with custom green seat inserts and a fully custom console loaded with levers and buttons to create comic mayhem by the driver. Loki (Alan Cumming). god of Mischief. Has chrome wheels with custom green-wall front tires for the scene when this car made its appearance. It still has the movie used front license plate reading “Low-Key”. New chrome all over. The engine is a rebuilt 289 with mild performance parts and dual exhaust. Aftermarket power brakes with an addition of a Bat-Turn Lever hidden inside the console to lock up the rear brakes for rear-end slides. The engine bay was fully detailed with aluminum air cleaner. The car itself is a unique custom show piece that anyone can be proud to drive and show. The movie history is just an added bonus on this car! This was a main car used by a main actor in the film. Put your family in to go cruising in something that is a bit different and cool! It has three (3) seatbelts (1966 Mustangs only had two) on the back seats as one (in the middle) was for the camera man! Fully documented. I even have the original California movie studio title. This car runs and drives great. I have taken it to many car shows. charity events. cruises and it always gets the “Thumbs Up”. The car is what it is and is the same way it came out of the movie over 10 years ago! The movie was made in 2004 in Australia and shown in winter 2005. The car was shipped from California to Australia for filming. It has never seen snow (Rare for a 49 year old Mustang). The car is in the same condition as when the movie was filmed with a few small trim bruises here and there. I will include the many original props such as small and large posters I display at the shows. and autographed pictures including Alan Cumming and Jamie Kennedy (Main actor as Jim Carey cancelled for filming the second Mask picture). magazines. movie blanket. mask. new Halloween costumes of both main actors in their roles. wrist watch. and cd soundtrack.
