Ford Other Pickups 1935 Description

After almost a decade long restoration that is now 95+% complete, have finally decided to part with my fabulous 1935 Ford V8 Pickup. It is a very authentic restoration, he only thing that is not original is the circa 1950 Mercury Flathead Engine, nd later transmission. I DO have the original engine and transmission to go with it. This was a straight, lean rust free ALL HENRY FORD STEEL California truck to begin with, hich then received a 100% ground-up frame off restoration. Many NOS parts were used, uch as hubcaps, ll the gauges and speedometer, rake parts, oor latches, hoke and throttle controls, uel sender, nd many other small bits. The truck was completely dismantled, rame sandblasted and powder coated, any other parts were powder coated too.The original 1935-36 Columbia 2 speed rear axle was completely rebuilt. The engine was done before I got the truck by Flathead guru Warren "Hoke" Hokinson, nd it runs like one of his race car engines, have never driven an old Ford that performs like this one. The transmission was done before I got it as well, o I never bothered with rebuilding the original one. The body, ed and fenders were stripped to bare metal and re-finished. You can see by the reflections in the photos the quality of the paint, nd how straight the parts are, s the truck was very straight and rust free to begin with. I did not replace the bed floor or body-fill and paint it, t was still decent, o I thought of just coating it with red Rhino lining, r using a black rubber bed floor liner.. You can see in the pictures that the except for the floor, he rest of the inside of the pickup box is just as straight and nicely painted as the outside of the body. The only things yet remaining to be done are the cardboard interior panels, nd finish paint on the tailgate, love box door, nder bed trim strips and the 2 little panels above the windshield. I do have every part for the vehicle plus extras. There may be a few other minor unfinished things escaping my memory at the moment, ike finishing the plumbing for the Columbia. I have all the rare little interior metal trim pieces, nd many extra parts, ncluding 4 more wide whitewall tires, nd the original operating instruction booklet. The gearshift knob has a 1935 San Diego Ford exhibit medallion on it. Mechanically it is all done, t runs, rives, teers and stops great, ith its factory mechanical brake system.. It is titled on the body number, he frame number says it was built in Dec 1934. Reserve is in the $20's, nd its easily worth double that when finished. One of these just sold at the Barrett Jackson auction last month for $130K !!! And a very rough, usty, ery incorrect and not running 1936 sold in front of me last weekend for $8500. I will be out of town and away from this computer from Wednesday AM till the close of this auction, O DON'T EMAIL ME WITH QUESTIONS, UST CALL MY CELL PHONE.
