Ford Torino 1971 Description

1971 Ford Torino. Very nice car! Odometer shows 12, 69 but I'm sure it has exceeded its limits. Pictures show accurate description. This car runs, drives, shifts and stops as it should. I have not tagged the car so I just drove it around my neighborhood. Have too many cars and not enough time to finish. It is the nicest project car you will find! No hard stuff to do. I would just drive it as it is. You just need to fix the exhaust leak. It would be annoying. Leaks right where doughnut gasket is, where exhaust and manifold meet. Please read the good and bad, look at the photos and bid away. You will be pleasantly surprised at this Torino! Car sat for 10 years. Owner had put brand new tires on and parked in barn for 10 years. The new tires had dry rotted bad.Bought brand new Cooper Cobra radials, Changed fluids, replaced brake line, changed gas, put in battery, and she runs and drives good. I have left for you to finish as you want. (I think it needs the blue side stripe) Would be awesome!

Original color was Pastel Blue. Car has been repainted at some point, and I think color is very close to original, but may not be perfect match. I am unsure of when painted, by whom or what exact color is now.

The Good- Very good paint! It is a very, very light blue. Looks white from 10 feet. Working sears underdash air conditioning! Seats look great front and back. Car cranks easily, runs good, shifts good and stops good. Brand new Cooper Cobra radials! 0 Miles! These were over $400! New dash cap. It is black and can be painted. I did not glue it so next owner can take out and paint if wanted. Has magnum 15 inch wheels in pretty good shape. Not perfect but very good. 302 seems to be original engine. No smoke or unusual noises from engine. Disc brakes on front. Very solid body. No visible rust at all on body. (Needs new deck lid, rusted bad on inside lip.) All underneath car seems very solid. Have build sheet! Found under rear seat. Needs repair- Rear deck lid inside lip rusted out. Hood has slight rust underneath front of hood lip. Very saveable. Trunk floor has small area of rust near rear of trunk floor. (Pictured) Needs headliner. Has dry rotted and has rips and tears. Need new steering wheel. It of course works but a new one would do wonders. Heater fan starts to blow but makes noise. I think fan maybe sticking. Has small dents on right front fender. Rest of body straight as an arrow. Dash is cracked up. Have new dash cap to cover up. Please ask questions before bidding! Your bid is to buy the car. You are buying as -is, where is. No warranty implied or given. I have described and photographed the car as best as I can and described what I know. I do not imply that I know all the issues of the car. I will try to do a video later this week to show the car running and give a description, but only as time allows. Shipping or pick up, buyers responsibility. $500 immediate down payment by paypal at auction end or if buy it now used. Cash payment in person, or certified check or money order due within 7 days of auction end. Car is located in Cloverdale, Virginia 24077. I reserve the right to verify and check, certified or not, and hold car until check clears. I have free and clear Virginia title in my name. Email any questions. I will do my best to give a quick and honest answer. Look at my feedback. I tell it like it is. No refunds for any reason! Bid now, bid often and enjoy your new Torino!
