Ford Mustang 1965 Description

Very nice 1965 Mustang for sale. I have owned the vehicle for 3 years and purchased it from the original family. It was originally a 6 cylinder but they converted it to a V-8 several years before I bought it. It has a professionally rebuilt 289 cu in engine with a 3 speed automatic transmission. The engine has new Edelbrock aluminum heads and intake manifold. The carburetor is an Edelbrock 650 cfm four barrel with vacuum advance. There are Hooker headers with a custom dual exhaust. The alternator has been replaced with a 100 amp single wire model. The distributor and coil have been replaced with an HEI model and a MSD ignition box. I have the build sheet with all the specifics if you would like to see it. The engine has 6000 miles on it. The transmission is a C-4 3 speed automatic that was rebuilt with the engine. It shifts crisply and smoothly. The rear end is a Ford 8.5 inch that has new ring and pinion gears. Most of the front suspension has been replaced with new parts and urethane bushings. The springs are original and so is the sway bar. The manual steering box is new. The brakes have been upgraded to disc in the front with a power booster. The car stops great and is much safer than the original single bowl master cylinder. The interior is clean and has a new one piece headliner and carpet. The seats are in good condition. There is a small tear in the seam along the outer aspect of the passenger seat. The driver seat has a new bottom frame and upholstery. The package tray in the rear is new with new 6x9 JBL speakers. The radio is modern and the dash has been cut out. I have a patch panel for the radio area. The floor pans in the passenger and driver side are rusted. There is a hole approximately 4 inches in diameter in each side. I have new floor pans that will go with the vehicle. The speedometer and fuel gauge work. There are Stewart Warner gauges for the amps, water temp and oil pressure. The gas tank has been replaced. The paint is OK. It was done by students at our local tech school. There is some minor cracking in the hood and roof. The tires are in good condition as well as the Cragar SS 14 in rims. This is a solid car. It is for sale locally so I may have to end the auction earlier if it sells. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer.
