1948 Ford Woodie/Woody Wagon. 1949 Flathead V-. original "three on the tree" manual transmissio. and stock rear end. Originally from Long Beach California, in 1969 it was sold and driven to its new home in Chicago . After the owner passed away, the kids had no interes. o sold, and it went to Wisconsin for a few months, long enough for the new owner to get it running and list it for sale. He did the brake. flushed the fuel tank and made the original flathead "run. Poorly. but it ran. It finally returned home to California in 2007.Once in California I replaced the tired motor with a "used. good running 1949 flathead V-8 and added smitty mufflers.The radiator was flushed and the old dry rotted tires were replaced.I begin driving the Woodie as is . After driving it around town for a few years the motor was getting tired, smoking and tapping. I finally decided that I would need to do the full restoration that it needs, so it has sat, or years, waiting for me.Things change and now its time to sell, A lot of the wood is still usable if you want the patina of original wood as I do. Some rust on the front floors and lower cow. but very solid over-all.Look closely at the pics before bidding, the woodie is sold "as-is", where -is"and no warranty exists.
