Ford F-100 1965 Description
*** You need to check with your state's DMV and make sure you can obtain a title for this vehicle PRIOR to placing a bid. Alabama law does not require titles for vehicles 35+ years old therefore it does not have a title from the current owner, nly the previous one in Tennessee, nd will only come with a bill of sale and that old signed Tennessee title if you need it. ****** There is a slideshow with more detailed pics at the bottom of the auction. ***
1965 Ford F-100. Truck was originally Caribbean Turquoise with Green interior and a 240ci 6cyl automatic. It now has a 289 V8 that has not run in a few years. It does turn over by hand but the radiator is missing. It also has a Ford 9" rear end. It won't take much to get it running and driving.
The body on the truck is pretty straight. Its been spray painted in satin beige and tan by the previous owner. The bed looks like its had a repair done in passenger side of it that will need to be addressed (see pics). Other than that I can't see any other obvious issues.
The cab has small rust holes in the front mounts and rust in the rear corners under the bed. The outer rockers and door sills are good with no holes (see pics).
The bottom of the doors have zero rust.
The floor of the cab has rust under the seat and the floor supports (see pics). Its been covered with sheet metal and a floor mat.
The bed floor has sheet metal put in it in the front and it appears to have rust up there from the bottom so it will need to be replaced. The rear looks ok and just has the undercoating peeling off (see pics).
The only other issue is rust in the inner fenders by the firewall (see pics).
The seat needs recovering. The gas tank doesn't smell inside the cab so I think its probably rust free.
It shouldn't take much to get this truck up and going. The rust issues don't affect being able to drive or use the truck while you fix it. I found some leftover new brake drum hardware sitting in it so it might even have had a recent brake job done on it. You can drive it while you replace the floors and repair the bed.
The truck will come with the taillight hardware, he 4 hub caps, starter, nd what appears to be the original license plate from 1965 (see pics).
I have included pics of other 1965 Ford F-100s in Caribbean Turquoise to show what this truck could be. Pretty sharp!!!
