Ford F-100 1960 Description
You are looking at a 1960 Ford F – 100 custom cab long bed with the wraparound glass. It has the original 292 Y block V8 mated to a three speed manual shiftin the column and manual steering. It takes good upper body strength to steer at slow speeds such as parallel parking. The steering however works properly as designed. It has almost no play in the steering box.It has long tube headers breathes well and sounds sweet. It runs like a champ with it's factory two barrel carburetor andrecent tuneup. Some of the newer parts include a fuel pump drive shaft plugs wires points carburetor diaphragms cleaning and adjustment and battery. The engine was rebuilt by my father just a few years ago. It has maybe 5000 miles on the rebuild. starts idles runs drives shifts stops as it should. It has very good power.Headlights high beams low beams taillights brake lights dash lights and dome lightall work. The turn signals do not currently workbut they recently were working. Should be a simple fix. Perhaps just the relay.Speedometer does not work. I have not looked into that. Gas gauge reads just over a half a tank when it is full. It does function but it indicates lower than the actual amount. It has an aftermarket oil pressure gauge added to the instrument cluster. It's a clean instal. The interior is in good condition. Especially the seat.Paint overall is a six or seven. There is paint damage at the bottom of theright front fender. Bed has a paint on bed liner with some peeling. The floor of the bed is flat steel. All the glass is intact with no cracks butwith some bubbling around the edges. Floors have been patched at some point. This is a 55-year-old survivor driver. I encourage anyone considering bidding to come check out this truck in person. It has been very fun to drive. It is very reliable. And it's obviously a real conversation starter. Located in Roanoke Virginia. I will accommodate international buyers provided the buyer pays for all exporting expenses.
