Don't just go to the show.....BE the show!!!Just in time for Monterey!! Load up your Shelby Cobra or other vintage race or muscle car and arrive in style! This thing gets the looks!!!Starting life as a 1971 F350 1-ton cab/chassis and immediately converted to a car hauler by a San Jose-based drag race team. Next 2 owner (both still in Northern California) hauled their 1968 Ford Mustang 1985 Mustang and 1968 AMC Javelin Trans Am race cars to various West coast Trans Am races back in the day. This truck has some history!!Bought it in 2005 from the 3rd owner and undertook a complete cab-off restoration. The cab was completely removed disassembled soda blasted and repainted Wimbledon White inside and out. The engine and transmission were also removed along with the steering and front suspension. Then the hauler bed was also soda blasted and painted white.Then the entire truck was reassembled with all new rubber seals. The following items were also done: Transmission re-sealed engine head gaskets oil pan timing chain intake manifold and carburetor replaced with brand new. Starter alternator radiator steering box and power disc brake booster all professionally rebuilt. New exhaust system. New bushings bearing and brake pads up front.For the interior the dash pad door seals carpet threshold plates door panels and instrument bezel were all replaced with new. The original AM radio was professionally rebuilt. The original Original FoMoCo stainless steel camper mirrors were completely refurbished. All the exterior running lights and cab roof lights were replaced. Starts and drives beautifully.The hauler bed features 6 locking side storage compartments a below-bed storage area for the 8-foot ramps a large in-bed storage bay (originally used to carry a spare motor) and a car loading winch. Used sparingly last 10 years to carry various vintage race cars to area races and car shows.The most recent items are a new battery 2 new rear tires (on chrome rims all around) and a brand new clutch (with less than 100 miles). This rig won't let you down. 2-inch stack of receipts.Just in time for Monterey!! Title is clear the registration good for 11 months.
