Ford Mustang 1966 Description

Beautifully restored 1966 mustang with original 289 engine completely rebuilt bored .40 over(head were re-torqued after 500 miles) rebuilt 4 bbl carburetor. Rebuilt original C4 automatic transmission with floor shifter. Less than 1000 miles on the car (engine transmission exhaust system tires etc...).Car was debaged but all original badges are included. Original jack and spare tire lock included but there is no spare tire.Additional parts are available to go with the car depending on selling price: original carburetor housing original hub cap original smog unit (for California’s emission) and after market GT steering wheels. Here is a list of what I can remember so far:

  • The car was stripped naked for evaluation (no rust no bondo). Alloriginalsheet metal except battery tray. No body work needed
  • Added GT valence (dual exhaust exit)
  • Car was professionally painted with original color + racing stripes
  • Engine bay was painted black
  • Underside was painted with rubberized coating (not to hide rust but to preserve the sheet metal
  • New windshield seals + roof rail weatherstrip + trunk seal + door rubber bumper
  • New heater core hose and clamps.
  • New front and rear light wiring harness
  • New front and rear light
  • New front and rear bumper and bumper bolts
  • Rebuilt rear brake
  • Rear-end differential fluid replaced
  • Front brake upgraded to disc (4 piston caliper new hoses dual bowl master cylinder)
  • New upper and lower control arms
  • New sway bar end links
  • New front and rear shocks
  • New rear suspension leaf springs + U bolts
  • Added power steering with rack and pinion kits from Unisteer - include new tie rod end (product code 8010890-01 http://www.unisteer.com/)
  • Cragar wheel – 15 inch 15 (New tire rear tire = 235/60/15 front=215/60/15)
  • New radiator + hoses and clamps
  • New battery tray (match original color)
  • New windshield washer reservoir + new windshield washer pump + new windshield wipers
  • New engine wiring harness
  • Rebuilt engine (new oil pan valve cover air cleaner water pump)
  • Upgrade to 4 barrel aluminum intake manifold
  • Upgrade to 4 barrel motorcraft carburetor with spacer
  • Upgrade to dual GT exhaust kit with resonator (not stainless steel) on stock iron headers
  • Upgrade with new GT exhaust tips (rear valence exit)
  • New fuel pump +1 extra inline fuel filter
  • Rebuilt C4 transmission with new oil pan
  • New transmission cooler lines
  • New u-joints on drive shaft
