1965 Ford Fairlane 500 Sports Coupe

- VIN 5K47C234870

One year body style. Hardtop with the bucket seats and center console. 289 c.u.

Car was originally Palomino Gold. The color was changed to a 1965 Ford color - Caspian Blue with a Wimbledon White Interior.

All body work was done professionally or under the Supervision of Local Legend “Doc” Livingston.

All original paint was stripped to bare metal to expose all imperfections.

The Dash was shaved of the chrome trim and dash pad. It was repainted along with the steering wheel and the center console.

Blue and Silver pearl were added to the clear of the interior.

The floor panels were replaced under the dash and coated with rust inhibitor before sound deadening material applied.

The interior, oof, nd trunk were coated and painted with Hy-Tech Sound control Coating (developed for NASA) to reduce heat and sound.

The antennae hole and emblems were shaved, xcept for the “289” logos on the front fenders.

The doors and fenders were removed and had rust in the typical corners.

All rust was removed by cutting out the spots, reating the openings and any crevices with rust neutralizer, nd replacing the sheet metal.

The doors and fenders were rehung and the gaps were fixed.

The Deck Lid was completely gone through and all rust was eliminated, ut out and treated.

The amount of time spent on the Deck lid and doors is un-measurable.

The Jams were all painted with Single stage paint to color match for the exterior and the car was painted with a Waterborn 2-stage in a professional booth.

Re-chromed and Straightened Bumpers- The Chrome Quality is poor and starting to peel.

All original Stainless Trim was straightened, and painted and polished.

The Grille has been custom hand painted.

The seats are in good condition and were chosen not to recover.
