Ford F-550 1951 Description

1951 Ford F5 Pickup sitting on a (running & driving) 1993 (3/4 Ton) Dodge Turbo Diesel Pickup Chassis.
Post Korean War Air Force Truck from Tinker AFB !Later used by local State University
VIN: 15R1LB12477
What you see in the photos is surface patina - this not not rust holes or rust through the metal. It's an extremely solid body and great candidate for restoration or drive it like it is.
The 93 Dodge Turbo Diesel Pickup (5 speed) was running & driving as a daily driver before the 51 Ford cab was installed.
Very little work left to make it a running & driving 1951 Ford (probably less than 8 man hours maximum)Things required to get it to start and run (and drive): Install battery box under hood, nbsp;connect positive and negative wires from the wiring harness and install radiator & turbo cooler. Rear cab mounts (Front mounts already welded in place). The rear are made and connected to the cab but the new owner needs to decide where they want them welded to the frame. They are in place and ready to go.
Doors open and shut good with original door handles.Windows go up and down easy with original cranks.
Original VIN Tag never removed from firewall.Titled as a 1951 Ford F5 (Clear Title in my name and home address).
Original driveline (Working engine and Transmission) were not removed or disassembled.Original & working brake lines, uel lines and suspension were not removed andare still intact.
Original Dodge wiring harness was not cut or spliced and was carefully removed, erouted through firewall and reconnected.
First $5,000 takes it home.
Once it is Running / Driving, his truck should be worth $10,000 and the price goes up.
Floors / Fenders / Cab / Original Front Bumper, nd running boards etc... extremely Solid - ExtremelyLow Rust.
Was originally a Military Truck from Tinker AFB in OKC (You can still see the serial numbers on the side of the hood and the OD Green Paint) The patina you see is 100% original and untouched.
--> Still says US Vehicle on the dash and the military serial numbers on each side of the hood.
I still have all original parts like front Bumper, unning Boards, tc.. and they are in great shape.
