Ford F-100 1966 Description
I looked at many of 1965 and 1966 Ford F100's as i was searching for one. This one is the most solid one I found after looking at dozens. The truck does have a few dings in the body, ut not many. It also has a few dings in the chrome trim, ut not many. The core support has some rust in it on the passenger side. itdoesn'taffect thefunctionalityof the truck at all. I noticed the rust in the core support as I was installing a new radiator. The new radiator is Heavy enough to cool a V-8. My plans were toinstalla V-8 and an automatic transmission. This truck does not have power steering or brakes. I did, owever, nstall new brakes front and back. I drive the truck and everything works as it should. The dash lights and the dome light work. The wiring harness is all intact andhasn'tbeen cut up. I had big plans for this solid 66, ut I have found something else that I want. I would like to see the truck go to a good home where it would get the makeover it deserves. The best part about the truck is the fact that it has not been cut on or modified other than the late model 300. The potential owner could go back completely original or resto-mod style. For that matter an individual could drive it just as it is. These trucks are getting harder to find unmolested and/or solid and rust free. This is a great truck. Sometime in it's life it was painted. The paint job is a forty footer and the scheme is not correct. The two-tone was broken in the wrong places and the fender lines were painted (see pics). Floor pans are solid and rust free. The bed floor only has surface rust with no thru holes. The exhaust has a small leak that does not affect the drivability or the functionality.Whomever buys this truck is getting a good truck with infinite potential. The truck is located near Ft.Payne, labama 35967 . Their is a reserve on this truck. I believe it to be a fair reserve based on the condition of the truck. My name is Jeremy and I can be reached @ 256-996-9724 Thanks for looking and happy bidding.
