Vinyl Interior SELLER REMARKS When you sell as many cars as we do here at Streetside Classics. it takes something special to get our attention. Well. this 1932 Ford Victoria is a special car that definitely had the showroom buzzing. A recent build with Ford small block power. it's an unusual take on the traditional hi-boy look and includes a dose of practicality for free. The body is fiberglass. which means it's brand new and beautifully finished. The victoria body style is easy to differentiate from the standard 2-door sedan by the slight hump on the back and the smaller quarter windows. giving it a more compact look that's a lot sportier. The top was chopped and most of the exterior hardware was shaved. traditional hot rod tricks that look especially good on a Vicky. and the open wheels and exposed engine bay only reinforce that image. The vivid electric blue paint is deep and rich. a finish that had to cost a bunch of cash to achieve and the bodywork underneath is totally worthy. with nary a ripple or wave to be seen. The wide doors fit well and it's been treated to 1950 Pontiac taillights with blue dots for a retro look that seems fresh on this car. Of course. no Deuce is complete with a painted radiator shell and the low-mounted headlights give it a minimalist look that's never going to go out of style. The spectacular interior is. well. spectacular. Trimmed in two-tone brown. it's luxurious and stylish without being over-dramatic. Comfortable bucket seats are supportive enough for cross-country drives and tilt forward for access to the full-sized back seat area. Custom door panels were created to match and the brown carpets have a sophisticated look that anchors the whole interior. Features include cold A/C. power windows. a tilt steering column. and an AM/FM/CD stereo in a mini console that also houses a pair of speakers. Attractive white-faced Dolphin gauges have a period look and the leather-wrapped steering wheel feels substantial in your hands. telegraphing the front tires' activities directly to your palms. Having a Ford engine in your Ford rod is still somewhat of a novelty. but perhaps more guys will do it after they see how well the 289 cubic inch V8 works in this Vicky. Dual quads might seem like overkill on a small block. but they're nicely tuned and offer razor-sharp throttle response and a spectacular high-end charge when you open all eight barrels. Parking the engine out in the open like that means lots of bling. and this car doesn't disappoint. with Ford Blue on the engine. shiny finned valve covers. and polished aluminum accessories with a serpentine belt drive. Lovely ceramic-coated headers feed a custom-built dual exhaust system that gives the potent 289 a vicious snarl. Unique features on the suspension include a novel rack-and-pinion steering system that works with the I-beam front axle. adjustable coil-overs on the 9-inch rear end. and four-wheel disc brakes. The chassis itself is a custom creation that's a great platform for performance and it's got an awesome rake thanks to the outrageous rolling stock. 17s up front and 20s out back. They're Ridler wheels although they have a Torque Thrust look. and they wear 215/40/17 and 275/45/20 tires. respectively. Unusual. fast. totally sorted. and beautifully finished. this cool '32 Ford will definitely stand out in a crowd and does so by being 100% Ford. That's definitely got our attention.
