Ford E-Series Van 1962 Description

1962 VAN, ND ITS A REAL HEAD TURNER! I JUST SMILE AS I DRIVE BY AND SEE EVERYBODY POINTING. THIS THING GETS THE ATTENTION.

PUT YOUR COMPANY NAME ON THE SIDE OF THIS AND EVERYONE IN TOWN WILL KNOW WHO YOU ARE!

STOCK MOTOR 170 INLINE 6 AND 3SPD MANUAL TRANS. (old owner said motor was rebuilt) but im not sure. smokes a little sometimes and uses a little oil, aybe they didn't redue the head? Fires right up and runs great. clutchhas alittle chatter when taking off, ut seems fine and goes thru the gears great. 9"rear end and probly 3.55 gears? its a good in town gear.

DASH & GUAGES someone cut out the old cool dash stuff and put in crappy alumn. tread. it has volt, il, emp, uel, peedO. temp guage is off, t says its hot like 250 but theres no way. I installed a new alum. radiator big enough for a V8. I also installed a new sending unit, guess the guage is just off. you can drive it all day. The fuel guage is off to. a little under 3/4 and you better be filling up! speedO don't work. lights, linkers, ork

Brakes pulls to the right some when you first apply the brakes, ut it does stop good. The chain steering wheel is nice and grippie but not really my style. it does need a bushing in the steering column I under the steering wheel (it has side to side play) ive seen the bushing for sale and look simple to put in.

Tires have great tread but are VERY DRY ROTTED not safe for a highway trip. but ive been driving around town for a year on them.

Heater is not hooked up. its just sitting on the floor. someone made a alum. tread housing for it.

Windows, ing windows were removed for a one piece glass, o bad they didn't finish the window tracks when they did it. anyway they will roll up and down with some help guiding the glass.

PAINT & BODY it looks sweet in the pics. I call it a 50 footer. it is not a prize winning paint and body. but it is a sweet driver. they filled in some of the body lines and im not sure if they did it right but you can see some paint cracking where the body line is.Still needsa passangeroutside door handle andsome latch work in the rear doors. but they do open and shut. But all in all it does clean up really nice and can sure make some people rubber neck.
