Ford Model A 1928 Description
This is my 1928 model a ford driver restoration project. This was never to be a point car. I was building this so my wife and I could cruise to the ice cream parlor. I previously had it listed but had way to many emails asking for more pictures. It is difficult to place a bid when as the buyer can't see exactly what your getting. I bolted together everything I could to show the truck. It is only bolted to show what the truck is and for transport reasons. There are no wooden blocks under the cab at the rear or in the center. They are included. It is bolted down at the door posts with no rubbers. The truck is not road ready nor do I have it running. The rolling chassis is completely restored. Local model a fellow rebuilt the rear end, ousing end repair with the pressed on tube and machined. Randy Gross rebuilt the entire brake system, ew brake rods, en Davis Tube shocks, omplete front end rebuild with new pins honed to bushings, adiator cleaned and checked by Marko Radiator, ew clutch, hrow out bearing, nd pressure plate, urfaced flywheel, ransmission has a new bearings, ears were very nice. The steering box is a rebuilt off of a restored car. It's a 2 tooth box and it is very smooth. The threads that the steering wheel nut spin on are will need attention. There is a spare steering shaft with perfect threads included. The engine was not rebuilt. It had new gaskets put in, ew head studs, ebuilt oil pump, enerator, arb, nd water pump. The cylinders have been oiled and sealed. I rotate it over a few times a month and have been doing so for a few years. The engine ran nicely when I bought the truck. However I never drove the truck on the road. I drove it off the trailer up my driveway and into the garage. The chassis was in such poor condition that the truck immediately went into restoration mode. There are 6 21 inch wheels 2 have ford covers on them. The body is very nice. I have just about completed all the metal work on the cab. The doors need to be patched on the bottom and there are a few cracks along the hinge area. The patches inner and outer are included. The gas tank was boiled clean and tested. It was not sealed. The bed is original. It is very nice but will need some rear channel repair. The radiator shell, plash apron, unning boards and all fenders are original. The hood shelves are repro. The hood may be a repro. There are 2 sets of headlight buckets. The only parts that I know I do not have are side and rear glass, op and visor material, ash light, rip rails, eat springs, ash panel pads and hardware. I may be forgetting some misc small parts. You will get every model a part I have in my parts area as well. Please look at the photos and ask any questions. I have no issue storing the truck here in my garage free of charge until transport is worked out. The truck must be paid for before I send you the title. $500.00 down payment via PayPal within 48 hours. The rest can be paid in cash in person. Any checks or money order will need to clear before the truck is removed from the property. The pictures are a little dark. I will try to retake and repost clearer pictures on Thursday.
