Ford Mustang 1968 Description

EXCEPTIONALLY RARE VEHICLE
1968 Ford Mustang 2-Door Hardtop with the RARE High Country Special Equipment Package.
As I'm sure all you Mustang enthusiasts know, his is by far one of the rarest produced Mustangs in the last year this package was offered. In fact, NLY 251 of these were made out of 317,423 Mustangs produced in 1968!
The High Country Special was made from 1966-1968 in response to folks in the Denver mountain region who wanted a car similar to the California Special GT but wanted it named more for their region. This was Ford's answer. It came with the Shelby-like options including:
  • Horizontal tail lamps (across the whole back)
  • Exposed functional hood locks
  • Rectangular fog lamps
  • Decklid spoiler
  • Body-side scoops
  • Functional louvered hood with built-in turn signals
  • Striping package
  • See all listed on window sticker!
Other options include:
  • 4-speed manual transmission
  • White Sidewall Tires
  • AM Radio
  • Tinted Glass
  • Wheel Covers
  • Wheel lip moulding and front and rear bumper guards
This Mustang has the original base 289 V8 engine and original transmission. We purchased the Elite Marti Report for $240.00 that confirms all of this data relating to the VIN - that this is in fact a High Country Special. The Marti report is INCLUDED with this vehicle.
It was sold new on October 30th, 968 at our local Ford dealer in Rapid City, D - Frontier Ford, nc to an individual in Rapid City, D. Then about 20 years ago it was purchased by the second owner who decided to part with it to us last year. We are the THIRD OWNER.
This awesome car has 39,925 miles on it right now. These are ACTUAL DOCUMENTED MILES - IT HAS NOT ROLLED OVER. We have the registration records back to 1968 and the miles are documented by the State and receipts by the first owner. For the last 20 years (second owner), nly about 3,000 miles were put on IN TOTAL.
The original color was Acapulco Blue - and it was repainted white over 20 years ago, s the original owner had lived on a gravel road and chipped up the original paint. The blue interior is 100% ORIGINAL and is in pristine condition! NO rips, ears, r holes in seats, arpet or headliner. Appears to have original black Mustang mats to protect the carpet. Dash is perfect - not cracked. All gauges work, nd the radio works. The original owner's manual is included along with many receipts, egistrations, nd service records.
We had 8" of snow on Christmas night - and did not want to pull the car out for pictures. Hopefully you can see everything you need to in the pictures we posted.
REALLY HATE TO SELL IT - but we have to get ready to pay Uncle Sam in April so they can give the money to our friends on Obamacare who obviously need it more than we do. It's really unfortunate, ut we know someone will really appreciate it and treasure it for the exceptional vehicle that it is.

Seriously interested parties please feel free to email me at warwickblue1969@yahoo.com or phone me at 605-390-6075 (Mountain Time).
Do not waste my time or yours if you work on an offshore oil rig and want to pay me with PayPal and pay me extra so I can wire the extra money to Tanzania or South Africa and then ship my lovely car to Las Vegas where you will have someone pick it up and destroy it. I know the game and don't have the energy to play.
Also, or the broker folks in California who always call - I do not need your assistance in selling my car. Don't call.
THANK YOU FOR LOOKING!
