BODYWORK/TRIM

This hot 3-window's smooth body, hich began life at Outlaw Performance in Avonmore, ennsylvania, s some of the best technology the industry has to offer. Fully reinforced, and-laminated and completely cured to ensure quality that's consistent with steel, ts solid fiberglass panels display a level of fit and finish that inspires complete driver confidence. Of course, o successfully execute any ultra-clean street rod means you need to go the extra mile and get everything laser-straight. And fortunately, he guys sanding on this slick Ford had a deep appreciation for their work. Hours of dogged dedication created a perfect canvas for a spectacular coat of Mercedes silver 2-stage. And today, his stunning custom is a swell of virtually unbroken reflections that create one subtle yet impressive classic!

Of course, ubtle doesn't necessarily mean skimping on the details. This well-executed coupe strikes an excellent balance between Ford's unique pre-war design and the monochromatic style of modern hot rodding. At the front of the car, im Rench headlight stands anchor Greening Auto Company headlights above a custom roll pan, raided wire sleeves and a custom Jim Rench grille. At the top of the car, full Rootlieb hood flows to a chopped roof and fully smoked glass. At the sides of the car, characteristically clean and simple profile hangs requisite power windows above shaved doors, otched running boards and trick, ide-exit exhaust. And at the back of the car, shaved decklid rides between bobbed fenders, custom roll pan and Greening Auto Company taillights. There's certainly no mistaking a classic Ford shape, ut this coupe has an identity all its own thanks to a cohesive theme, areful workmanship and exceptional attention to detail.

ENGINE

Hit the Hagan hood latch and you'll find 6.2 liters of all-American fury! According to the car's current owner, hat smooth small block, fficially known as General Motors' Generation IV LS3, reates a robust 515 horsepower. At the top of the crate-fresh special, trick Billet Specialties air cleaner locks a reusable filter element onto a big Holley carburetor that's sequenced to a polished canister filter, raided fuel lines and a liquid-filled pressure gauge. That carb feeds a Hogan's sheetmetal intake that's bolted to factory GM heads, hich are dressed in snazzy Billet Specialties valve covers. Beneath those heads, tock GM internals breathe through custom long-tube headers. At the front of those tubes, illet Specialties serpentine components spin a color-keyed Edelbrock water pump between a polished alternator and small MQQN temperature gauge. There's a beefy Walker radiator that's fitted with a polished cap, polished expansion tank and a giant electric puller fan. And all that road-tested performance rolls in classy, how-worthy aesthetics.

DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION

As with its tight body, his Ford's first class chassis was supplied by Outlaw Performance of Avonmore, ennsylvania. The spry LS3 turns a fresh Tremec 5-speed, hich hangs a color-keyed bellhousing opposite a polished Inland Empire driveshaft. That tough driveline spins a $14K Kugel Komponents back-half, hich makes good use of a quick change differential and four coil-over-shocks. That quick change pushes a polished Kugel Komponents front suspension, hich sandwiches two more coil-overs between a thick sway bar and tough tubular control arms. That suspension turns thanks to lucid rack-and-pinion steering. Stops come courtesy of four polished calipers and drilled and slotted rotors. Spent gases roar through custom-fabricated, ASCAR-style exhaust pipes. Details like chrome fender supports, ubular cross braces and a polished oil pan finish smooth, ody-matched floors. And all that incredible hardware rolls on Billet Specialties Legacy IIs, hich spin 205/40ZR17 BF Goodrich g-Force T/As in front of 295/45R20 BF Goodrich g-Force T/As.

INTERIOR

Open this coupe's suicide doors and you'll find $12,500 worth of custom cockpit that was installed by Chuck Hanna of Mooresville, orth Carolina's Hot Rod Interiors. Modified Acura buckets are supportive and feel soft enough to take a nap on. At the sides of those seats, ustom door panels found sculpted leather armrests behind bright accents and simple billet hardware. Between those seats, custom console centers a small Hurst shifter and modern Clarion audio on clean California Carpet. In front of those seats, fully wrapped dash centers Classic Instruments All-American telemetry above attractive Kugel Komponents foot pedals. Above those seats, custom headliner frames a small courtesy lamp. In front of the driver, color-keyed Billet Specialties steering wheel laps a tilting Ididit column. And behind the passengers, n electronically actuated trunk pins custom upholstery behind enough luggage space for short weekend getaways.
