Ford F-100 1957 Description
Fuzzy DiceHas up for auction a beautiful 57 Ford F100 Flairside pickup in all around wonderful condition. This is a steel body rare Flairside I bought from its owner of 35 years. The truck underwent a mild restoration ten years ago and still looks great today. No rust, o damage, nd no glaring blemishes. Only a random road nick or two that can only be detected close up. The "Corvette yellow" accented by silver repaint shines like new. The wood bed is also in excellent condition. The same can be said about the chrome, lass, fter market wheels and tires. The vehicle was always stored inside and never out in the weather. The interior is excellent. Redone upholstery, arpeting and headliner. The doors, ash and gauge package look fresh and pretty much flawless. An old school cassette player radio with two speakers was added and works really well. The "Flairside" and wooden bed were a very rare option in 1957. The new "Styleside" with a metal bed was introduced in 57 and way out produced the old Flairside. Thus the collector value for our truck is considerably higher. The original six, 33 Ci with 139 horse power was completely rebuilt and preforms as it did in 57. The three-speed transmission shifts smoothly through all the gears. The engine starts up on a single click. No oil or fluid leaks anywhere.I personally drove this vehicle 65 miles from the owner's house to our facility without a single problem. I even ran her at 65 miles an hour on the thruway. The truck hugged the road and drove smoothly. I was seriously impressed with its performance. A blast to drive. The under carriage is rust and damage free. No sign of damage cover up anywhere. So if it's a rare classic pickup you're looking for than your search is over. This baby can be driven anywhere and often or saved for those warm weather car shows and events. We welcome any inquiries about this or any of our other classics. Best of luck bidding!
