Ford Fairlane 1958 Description

This 1958 Ford Fairlane 500 Country Squire Four Door Sedan was my Granddaddy's and I actually rode in it in 1958. I crazy cousin of mine took me for a spin up a back country road and I remember him burying the speedometer needle way past 120mph and he scared me to death in 1958. It still will fly- if you have the nerve, as I had the engine completely overhauled and had new pistons put in it. This Interceptor V8 is inperfect condition and is a matching numbers originalengine. The current displacement of the original 265 HP 332 CI Interceptor Engine after the recent-complete;bearings-valves-pistons overhaul is now 358 cubic inches. It has a 4 barrelcarburetor. It has a 2 speed automatictransmission which was also recently completely overhauled. It has a new gas tank and relatively new tires. I had the car restored and new interior put in about 10 years ago and it now has new seat covers. The door panels are original and in amazing good condition and the windows all work and the locks work. I put dual exhaust glass packs on it and it has a really snazzy V8 sound!

It is ready to take on a road trip and enjoy. I had it painted 10 years ago and it has some imperfections, however the body is in good condition. The frame isin great conditionand never suffered any major rust. I know why they call this engine "Interceptor" because at low RPM's it is a puppy, however when you get above 70mp, it gets real happy. Essentially this car is being sold for FREE. Because I have over $9,000 in restoring it over the past several years. It needs a few cosmetics to be a show car. I had a Corvette that didn't turn as many heads. Everybody goes crazy over this car. This car is matching numbers and ready to drive and have fun in! The odometer shows a little over 70,300 miles. It doesn't smoke, burn oil, or leak water, or overheat. Transmission shifts great and engine runs perfect!
