Ford Bronco 1966 Description
1966 Ford Bronco, are factory Roadster model (U13), imited production as they only made them for the first three years. Fairly original and in survivor condition, till has the original 170cu. 6 cyl engine with a jaw dropping 105hp, t actually runs pretty good...but don't expect to get many speeding tickets (unless you're hammering down in a school zone and miss the cop always hiding behind the bus). Factory 3sp on the column, nbsp;I have some of the original parts that are still with it (silver seats - rough and not pictured, un visors, tc.). Still has most of the original light blue paint and 'eyebrow' front grill. Body tag number and frame VIN#s match and I have a clean and clear AZ title. It appears to have been sold new in Gunnison, O. as you can see from the dealer emblem on the tailgate. It does have some typical rust (which old Bronco doesn't), ostly in the front floor pans, hich I tried to show the worst of in a picture. Someone in the past laid in a front floor pan over the existing pans, o not an ideal fix, ut what's done is done. The rockers and rear bed are solid, s are the inner front fender corners that I also tried to show in the pictures. The hood front lip also has rust, ut I do have a replacement original hood off of a newer model...early to mid '70s I'm guessing. It has 15x10 chrome modular wheels and some 32" all-terrain tires that are older but decent. I bought it over a year ago, here it had sat for 3-4 years not running. Over the past year, 've slowly brought it back to life with some new parts (fuel pump, aster cylinder, heel cylinders, tc) and repairs to existing ones. I switched out the original seats with those that are in it now, ince they were all a matching set, ront and rear. Obviously, hey are also original and need to recovered. I believe they came out of an early 70s model as well. I recently added a new bikini top to cover the front seat area, s well as some fender flares (no, didn't cut the fenders, hey were already like that) and newer door inserts (I have the original set as well). It actually runs and drives good, lthough it does have some play in the manual steering box. Four wheel drive works through all ranges. All of the lights and gauges work, linkers too..but not the radio (because it doesn't have one - LOL!) It starts right up, oesn't knock or smoke and it stops pretty much like it should for drum brakes...it's a real blast from the past.
It obviously needs some more work, ut now it's in running condition so it could be driven around as is...or taken down as far as you want to go with a restoration. I've had some fun resurrecting it, ut now I'm selling due to a loss of storage where I've been able to keep it the past year. No doubt, here are certainly much nicer old Broncos out there...but they also come much worse too. I've tried to price it reasonably for someone looking for one to have some a little fun with, nd/or build or restore to your own tastes.
