Ford Other Pickups 1951 Description

Health has forced the sale of my truck. This is a F3 or 3/4 ton with a full 8 foot bed. Acquired several years ago from Indiana. Runs and drives great. Motor is strong and truck is tight. Never an over heat problem.Over this past winter Iconverted to 12V. I had the generator rebuilt for 12V and added new regulator but used the old cover so all appears to still be 6V. Electronic ignition added. Added new gauges from Vintage gauge but due to injury work was interrupted. Gauges work but wiring needs to be cleaned up and tucked away. Added dual air horn which is loud and strong. As you see in pictures, nterior is finished with a nice cushioned seat. Nice steering wheel with no cracks. 5 Cooper WW tires, 7" with Ford caps. Oak wood bed made for work not for looks. This truck runs strong and I used it regularly to haul feed and straw for my small farm. I got lots of comments and thumbs up. It is a real sharp truck and will last many years.Cruises around 50-55 mph without straining the motor. Can be driven anywhere without concern, ut remember, t is 63 years old and sh-- happens. There is no parking brake as the F3 had its brake on the drive shaft and during the restoration process, t was lost. It retains the parking brake lever and cable. I have a 74 Ford F250 rear which I was going to swap out for more speed and parking brake. This will go with the truck. The hood was professionally done as itwas fading and cracked. It is base coat, lear coat and the rest of the truck is high gloss enamel.I have found no bondo in the rest of the truck and from underneath see no repair patches. All steel fenders and doors. Glass is good and all works. I have a 51 truck radio that I spent $500 to convert to am fm that will go as will all manuals, nd receipts for build. DO NOT BID IF YOU ARE NOT A SERIOUS BUYER. NO BUY IT NOW PRICE. RESERVE IS REASONABLE. ASK QUESTIONS BEFORE YOU BUY. I CAN ASSIST WITH DELIVERY WITHIN A REASONABLE DISTANCE.
