This car is an authentic 1964 1/2 Mustang. Produced in Detroit, he car has survived 50 years and still has all the options and solid body. When you analyze the numbers and the options this car has you will agree it is a special, rue 64 1/2. The Original Ford factory air is working and is very cold with the original R12 system still in place. The 289 sounds amazing and the c4 automatic has good positive engagement. The solid body was the basis for the full restoration and this car is beautiful. Rarely do you see Mustangs with the ORIGINAL Power Steering and Power Brakes AND the 289 4v engine sets this car apart in its early production number 33,247. I checked the engine block ID. It is C40E-6015-C. I have the original owners manual with the warranty card.
The car is fully restored. The body is in excellent condition with the paint being only weeks old. It has been wet sanded and polished. Both doors, runk lid and hood close perfectly. The hood was replaced with a Ford certified, riginal tooling 1964 1/2 hood with the correct detail and unfinished front lip. Everything that makes this car a true 1964 1/2 is present- even the twin big horns (they work!) and the beveled headlight buckets. The paint is the original color code K, ilver smoke metallic. All exterior door handles, adges and emblems have been replaced with high quality pieces. The rocker moldings are in beautiful condition as well as the horse and coral in the grille. The tail light lenses and bezels, s well as the gas cap, ere replaced with new pieces. The windshield, ear glass reveal molding and drip rail molding are original pieces and are the only pieces that aren't perfect. The windshield is newer and all glass is in great shape with only a few marks from age. Both exterior mirrors are new as well as the antenna. The windshield wipers, s well as the windshield washers, ork.
The interior is all new with the exception of the headliner, hich has been cleaned and re-dyed white. The previous owner had installed new carpet and it is in great condition with the exception of the rear section previously being installed incorrectly. I've added sound deadener to the entire floor pan before correctly installing the carpet. All seat upholstery and seat foam are new. The dash pad, oor panels, oor arm rests/bases, nterior handles, nterior mirror, love box insert, auge bezel, eat belts, ick panels, ill plates and shifter base are all brand new. All interior lights (courtesy and glove box) work perfectly. All gauges and warning lights work. The heater box assembly has been rebuilt with new seals and heater core and works flawlessly. The radio is original and is not working but I did not wire it to the car. Ihaveinstalled a new steering wheel, hich is not original to the car. The factory underdash unit is still in place and works great! The vents are unrestored but look good.
The engine is fully detailed with the correct color and decals. The engine runs great and leaks nothing. I've installed a brand new oil pan and gasket and changed the oil pump while I was there. I installed a new, orrect fuel pump and filter. everything under the hood is original to the car with the exception of the air cleaner assembly, hich I bought to replace the chrome aftermarket assembly that was on the car when I bought it. I replaced the original carburetor with a new Holley 4 barrel but the original one comes with the car. The factory generator works perfectly. I replaced all power steering hoses and rebuilt the power steering control valve. All belts and hoses are new. The radiator is a 3 row and I added a fan shroud to insure the car runs cool (it does). The factory air conditioning compressor is clean and painted with a new, riginal style tag in place. The original ID tag is still there.
The car has factory power brakes which I have updated to disc in front. I just installed a new power brake booster and dualreservoir. All new shocks were installed and every bushing has been replaced. The previous owner installed new upper and lower control arms. The car has a brand new, ual exhaust system with turbo mufflers that aren't annoying and loud. The floor pans are solid. The passenger front was previously replaced. All new weatherstripping was installed as well as new front windshield rubber and rear glass rubber. It has 4 brand new tires and the Magnum 500 wheels have been reconditioned and look great.The transmission shifts nicely and is painted to keep the clean look underneath. I have installed all new transmission cooling lines and new front/rear seals and trans pan gasket.
