1930 Ford Model A 5 Window Coupe Project offered by Gas Monkey Garage . NO TITLE. ! First produced in October 1927, he new Model A was designated as a 1928 model and was available in four standard colors. By February 4, 929, ne million Model A’s had been sold, nd by July 24, enry Ford had sold two million. By March 1930, odel A sales hit three million, nd there were nine body styles available. This is the very desirable 5 window coupe that is the subject of many Hot Rod and Rat Rod builds. This good restorable example has been media blasted to bare metal, hat you see in these pics is 100% steel! All of the rust has been exposed and removed making this the perfect candidate for your next build. This Original Model A is solid and fairly rust free (see all pics) . Now there are several cars that I always buy when I find them and clean, olid Model A coupe’s are one of them. When I saw this one I acted quickly to secure it and get it back to the shop. This would be a great project for Aaron and the crew to get running again (the engine turns)and build here in the shop, ut with our schedule we just can’t and I know there are a lot of good folks out there that are wanting a good, lean and solid rust free Model A Coupe project but they don’t have the time to chase down every lead, o I’m offering it to you just the way we found it so you can build it the way you want!(sold as is/where is).This car has the original seat and is mostly there needing a complete restoration to return it back to what Henry had in mind 84 years ago. The exterior is in good condition with most of the trim present (headlamps are in the trunk along with assorted spare parts) and a fairly solid body.The original 201 cid 4 cylinder motor & 3 speed transmission are presen, ut untested. This car was running years ago when it was last driven, ut has not been started since then and will need complete servicing before attempting for the first time.
