Ford F-100 1967 Description
This was a body off project where every nut, olt, crew, ll wiring and rubber items on the truck were removed and replaced with new. For the full story and more than 80 photos check out my website at https://sites.google.com/site/custom67fordtruckruby/home.
The cab and bed were turned up side down and all of the 40+ years of crud was hand scraped off down to the bare metal then they were both sprayed with Rino Lining along with the in side of the hood and inside of the fenders. Frame and every thing else that bolts to it was powder coated including rear leaf springs that have been de-arched and a 1" lowering block put in. Component Finishing Powder Coating in Santa Clara did the powder coating. The frame is C notched, hefront coil springs werecut and I beamshave 2" drop.
We shaved the drip lip on the cab, he door handles, as tank filler, adio antenna. The tailgate was welded closed and a roll pan installed under it, ll seams werewelded to give us a good clean smooth look up front.Glory grills built the stainless grill that you see in the photos.
Disk brakes from Master Power Brakes were put on all 4 corners, nd a 25 gal. stainless steel fuel tank by Ricks Hot Rod Inc. was custom built and installed behind the rear end. We put a third brake light (LED) on the cab just above the rear window.
Under the hood is a mechanically stock 390 cu.in. Ford with Edelbrock intake manifold,4 barrel carb and Mallory ignition. This is all bolted up to a C6 Transmission with shift kit. Doug Thorley headers were installedwith Gibson mufflers, hen the entire exhaust system was ceramic coated. The wheels are 18" solid aluminum from Wheels Ventiques.
In the cab is a new 40-20-40 two-tone grey leather seat with matching door panels and dash pad. Headliner and trim are two-tone UltraSuede. The pictures of the upholstery speak for themselves; the seatswere all done in leather. The company that did the interior is named Finish Autoworks in Campbell, a.
There is a new Ididit tilt steering column with ignition on it. The windows are El.Power along with the door locks, nd A.C. by Vintage Air was installed.A complete newset of Haneline guages were installed in an engine-turned stainless steel dash panel. Ruby was completely rewiredusing Painless Wire Harness.
The spears that are going down the sides of the truck are white gold leaf put on by Real Ralph pin striping. Pirelli P-Zero tires. Gaylord fiberglass tonneau cover (locking).
