Ford Mustang 1976 Description

You are bidding on a 1976 Mustang II Ghia with a 302 engine. This car has the original engine and transmission and only has 80,500 miles on it. VIN: 6F04F197894. The car was repainted roughly 25 years ago using the original color. The interior is in good condition. There are a few areas that have rust bubbles starting and should be taken care of for showing the car. The top has pieces of the vinyl top coming off and will need to be replaced if you plan on showing the car. The car has air conditioning and power steering. The transmission front seal needs to be replaced as it leaks fluids. The engine will need new gaskets as well. I started the process of removing the engine but just didn’t get to a point of being able to get it complete and the car needs to go now. There are a lot of great parts on this car and it has been garage kept for the majority of its life. This is a one family car, nd really a one owner car. The car was given to my son from my father-in-law, nd other than to drive it from his house to my garage and transfer the title it has not had any other miles put on it other than what he put on it in 45 years. The left front tire is flat and will not pump up because I believe my father-in-law put some flat stuff in the tire and it is blocking the valve stem. I have all the parts that I took off the car when I started to do the restoration. They are in my shed. All the parts for this car are here. Some will need to be replaced just because of age and condition, ut I didn't break anything taking it off.

History of the car. My father-in-law bought the car brand new in 1976. He kept it in the garage until 2001 when he bought a new car. Then the car was outside for roughly 10 years until he gave it to my son to rebuild and drive. It has been in my garage since 2011. I drove the car to my house where I parked it in the garage, nd it has sit since. I started to take it apart to remove the engine and transmission to rework those and get some body work done but ran out of time and money and now my son wants a truck and is not interested in this car any longer. It has been babied its entire life. This would be a great project car for someone who doesn’t mind putting in the time and effort to do the work. Worst case scenario, he parts on this car are worth probably about $1000 if you wanted to take the time to take it apart and part it out. I just don’t have the time nor want to take the effort to do so, nd honestly would like to think someone might want to put it back together and have a pretty nice little car.
