Ford Other 1935 Description

** 1935 FORD TUDOR CUSTOM **

THE BEAUTIFUL EXAMPLE OF A CUSTOM DONE RIGHT WAS BOUGHT BY ITS CURRENT OWNER BACK IN THE EARLY 1980’S. CAR WAS COMPLETELY ORIGINAL AND RUNNING WHEN PURCHASED. BODY WAS VERY SOLID WITH A COUPLE OF MINOR DINGS THAT WAS REPAIRED WITH LEAD FILLING. COMPLETE FRAME AND BODY COMPONENTS WERE GLASS BEADED TO BARE MEDAL AND CONVERSION COATED WITH PHOSPHORIC ACID- FRAME AND UNDERCARRIAGE PAINTED WITH DUPONT IMRON PAINT. EXTERIOR BODY FINISHED WITH TWO PART EPOXY IN “LIGHT SAND/GREY” AVAILABLE ON GENERAL MOTORS CADILLAC, LDSMOBILE LATE 1970’S MODELS. DURING THE METICULOUS BUILD – AND WAY AHEAD OF ITS TIM, LATE 1970’S CORVETTE INDEPENDENT REAR SUSPENSION WAS MERGED / INTERGRATED WITH THE ORIGINAL FACTORY FORD TUDOR FRAME…. THINK ABOUT THAT FOR A MOMENT.. A 1935 FORD TUDOR CUSTOM BUILT IN THE 1980’S WITH AND INDEPENDENT REAR SUSPENSION FROM A DONOR CORVETTE ….

THE CAR WAS FINISHED IN 1985. IT STILL LOOKS AS STUNNING TODAY AS IT DID BACK THEN !!

THE OWNER SPENT OVER THOUSAND DOLLARS FOR A CORRECT “NOS” GRILL THAT WAS RE-CHROMED. ORIGINAL AND RE-CHROMED “NOS” BUMPERS. DOOR HANDLES AND REAR TRUNK LATCHES ALSO ARE NOS STOCK.

DURING THE BUILD THE OWNER AQUIRED A FULL AUDI ROOF AND FABRICATED IT TO BE A WORKING POWER TILT / OPENING SUNROOF ALONG WITH FACTORY DRAINS THROUGH THE BODY. OTHER FABRICATIONS INCLUDE A 3” CHOPPED A PILLAR. BOTH DOORS INCLUDE PROPER DRAINAGE FOR WATER / RAIN.

THE INTERIOR IS ALL BUSINESS !! DURING THE BUILD THE BARE INTERIOR WAS COATED / SEALED TO PROTECT FROM THE ELEMENT, EAT AND SOUND. RON FRANCIS WIRING SYSTEM, OMPLETE WITH EASY DISCONNECT ENDS / PLUGS. CUSTOM FABRICATED LOWER DASH. FRESH DAKOTA DIGITAL GAUGES. WORKING – CRUISE CONTROL, EA, IR CONDITIONING AND AM/FM C/D SOUND. TILT WHEEL, OWER STEERING, RONT SEAT BELTS, -WHEEL POWER DISC BRAKES - THIS CAR WAS BUILT TO DRIVE ANYWHERE IN ALMOST EVERY WEATHER CONDITION !!

RUNNING GEAR INCLUDES A GM ZZ4 350ci (345hp) WITH A MILD ROLLER CAM AND EDLEBROCK 600cfm CARB. TUBE HEADERS WITH DUAL EXHAUST AND MILD MUFFLERS THAT “DUMP” RIGHT BEFORE THE REAR TIRES. TRANSMISSION IS REBUILT GM 4L60 AUTOMATIC. MUSTANG II RACK & PINION.

ALTHOUGH THIS CAR HAS SURVIVED THE TEST OF TIME, T DOES SHOW SOME MINOR CHIPS / TOUCH UP SPOTS IN A COUPLE OF AREAS. UNPON REAL CLOSE INSPECTION YOU CAN SEE SOME MINOR CRACKING IN THE PAINT. SOME MINOR PITTING / AGE ON SOME OF THE EXTERIOR CHROME TRIM. SOME OF THE COATING IS START TO COME OFF OF THE EXHAUST. DRIVERS SIDE CARPET DOES SHOW SOME “HEAL WEAR”….

IF YOU HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR A “TURN KEY” CUSTOM HOT ROD THAT WAS BUILT LIKE A TANK- YOU FOUND YOUR NEXT RIDE !!
