Ford Fairlane 1966 Description
Hi there Muscle Car or Ford guys I'm sad to say I'm putting my 1966 Ford Fairlane up for grabs. I know what I'm asking seams like a steep price but to me and maybe someone else out there can see the value if you know what it takes to build a little car like this. Here is some history on her and what's in her and comes with it.
History .I bought this car from the 2end owner of her on Ebay last November 2014. It came from Ohio witch scared me a little but after I got her to Cali there was no question it was a good buy. It came with the paint and body as is in great shape and straight for a black car not the oem color but for black very nice. it has little dings and dents and a great driver you don't have to freak about every lady with a purse walks by.
The previous owner had sub frame connectors put in to hold up with the T-5 Tremec 5 speed upgrade and 347 stroker kit and trickflow aluminum high flow heads pro comp aluminum intake. It drags along the old Ford 8" rear with an up graded 3.55 or( 4.11 comes with both)full spool rear end and new drum brakes. Upgraded front disc brakes and dual master cyl and wildwood proportioning valve stops great.
Suspension .Since I had her I had a full race mustang plus front 720 grab a Trak front coil springs installed with kyb gas adjust shocks and a nice big 1 1/8 sway bay bar in front and feels like its on rails. and new competition engineering slide a link rear drag traction set up. A Crites restoration rear spring relocation kit and new re-arched leaf springs to take some serious abuse with the all aluminum new rear bushing set up.
Tire set up.It comes with two sets of tires depending on taste. but as is 255/60/15 cooper cobras up front and nice big and sticky 325/50/15 rear nitto drag radials that tuck a bit. or as you will see you can go straight 60s style and put the new micky tomhpson sportsman in back jacked up with the hoosier front drag runners.
The engine. I was told its a 347 but could be a 302. but after driving the car this thing was to fast for any 302 ive been in so im going with 347. It has trick flow aluminumheads pro comp intake and I went and put a new Paxton 1200 novi slpower hat super charger on her with a tuned 750 cfm demon blow thru carb replaced the clutch with an upgraded stage 4 clutch good up to 700hp race balancer electric water pump aluminum 3 core radiator msd ignition relocated battery to trunk kill switch 20 gallon fuel cell 1/2 fuel line aeromotive fuel pump regulator vic jr fuel pump 4 point street harnesses and have the 10 point cage for it from jegs. but I blew the ps head gasket two weeks ago and life is way to busy for me to give her attention. please call trevor at 925-354-8741 for any questions. I prefer you call me about details if your serious so I can go over all I can about the car if you serious. what im asking is whats in the car so no low balls please I don't have to sell her and cant build this for what im asking. and this car is serious fast like breaks loose at 70mph on the mt tires. but don't tell that to your wife.
All lights blinkers e-brake dome light gauges reverse lights.100% road ready after the head gasket is fixed. and if you wonder why I don't just fix we arehavingbaby and the car is not a priority now. thanks for looking.
Flaws: the bumpers aren't perfect and the front bumper is missing two of the chrome carriage bolts. The front engine cross was cut and modified to fit the big road race oil pan the trunk floor or old gas tank was removed so the new fuel cell could be installed but the floor needs to be finished. It's almost complete. The front seat drivers side has the seam separating. The exhaust system is 2.5 inch out of the header collector into cut outs then into flow masters but it was poorly done. Blown head gasket. But I will fix if you pay the buy it now
