Ford Escort 1977 Description
I bought this car in Cangas de Narcea, Spain. It has 25, 00 original miles, and looks and feels like it. Fresh "Nevada Beige" paintwork over tan vinyl and biscuit cloth. 1.3L crossflow "Kent" engine and four-speed manual transmission. Light RS upgrades include RS Mexico alloy wheel with fresh tires, RS steering wheel, and RS Specification shock absorbers. Absolutely no rust anywhere. NONE. The car is cosmetically and mechanically excellent throughout. No leaks. It has just been serviced and received all new fluids, a fresh water pump, and an upgrade to electronic ignition. I drive the car daily, and recently completed a trip across Spain, through the mountains of Asturias, back down to Madrid, then east across the country to Valencia, and finally down the Mediterranean coast to my home in Javea. It is virtually perfect in every way and a rare "time capsule" of a rapidly appreciating model that is little known inside the USA but much loved in Europe. Designed and built in Germany. A classic that would be as welcome at a European car event as it would be at a Ford gathering or any "Cars And Coffee" around. It would be a wonderful vintage rally car, or a charming classic that you can take your friends or family along in.It comes with the original owners manual and original service manual with all scheduled services signed off to this mileage. Also comes with original steering wheel. It needs absolutely nothing. Extremely entertaining to drive and Mk2 Escorts are as famous for their reliability as for their rally successes. This vehicle will be sold in Richmond, VA with a clear Virginia title, as well as copies of all relevant EPA, DOT and Customs/Border Patrol documentation. It is a 100% legal import. The full story on how I bought it, as well as more history, photos and details of the car, here: http://www.valenciaclassicvehicles.com/stories/2015/4/14/1977-ford-escort-mk2-13glAlthough this is my personal vehicle, my company can be seen at
