The interior is Charcoal Grey leather adjustable sport seats with lumbar supports. This car was optioned with leather trim, engine block immersion heater, and flip-up/open air roof. The 1985 1/2 was a mid-year change. Cosmetically, the headlights were flush with the front-end, instead of recessed. The 1985.5 model also received a performance upgrade. Horsepower increased from 175HP to 205HP, and torque increased from 210lb-ft to 248. It is powered by a intercooled, turbocharged, 2.3L multipoint fuel injection inline 4-cylinder engine. It is mated a Borg-Warner 5-speed manual transmission with a short-throw Hurst shifter. Other upgrades over other Mustangs included 15:1 power-assisted rack-and-pinion steering, a limited-slip Traction-Lok rear axle, special pedals for "heel-and-toe" shifting, plus a series of Mustang-firsts, adding ventilated 4-wheel disc brakes, complete Koni suspension (with special-tuned adjustable struts, shocks & horizontal dampers including a quad-shock rear end), and 5-lug 16-in wheels!
