Ford Other 1949 Description
Up for sale is my 1949 Ford Gasser. The block 1972 BBC 402 bored .030, (casting# 3999290), decked .010, mains are aligned honed, Weiand oval port Tunnel Ram, two Holley 600's, Howard Brothers cam# 122441-12 (235/241, .553"/.533", 112+4 L/C), new valves with 10 degree locks, Weiand water pump, Vintage Weiand valve covers, roller rocker arms, Melling 77g oil pump, ARP fasteners, rotating assembly is balanced. It has a 12" clutch, hydraulic throw out bearing, Muncie 4 speed with Hurst shifter. It has a 9" Ford rearend, 3.89 gears with mini spool, ladder bars with coilover shocks. The front suspension is a straight axle kit from Speedway Motors. It has 4 wheel disc brakes, an adjustable proportioning valve and a corvette manual master cylinder. The fuel system starts with a 10 gallon aluminum tank trunk mounted, a 140 gph pump feeding 1/2" aluminum line to a bypass regulator to a deadhead regulator split to two 3/8" lines feed the carbs. Gauges consist of Tach, GPS speedometer, electric fuel pressure gauge, fuel level, oil pressure, voltage, and vacuum gauges. The radiator is aluminum, cooled by an electric fan. The exhaust is custom built headers that can be uncapped or left to exit through 2 1/2" pipes and magnaflow mufflers. The interior is pleated gray vinyl and black and gray carpet. Interior metal is painted the color of the car plus metalflake was added to the clear. The exterior is painted to pay tribute to the Gasser my Dad. The rear wheel were radius'd, the rocker panels are new, rust has been cut out and replaced with new metal, and has a custom rear push bumper. Also the firewall was recessed about 10 1/2". Electrical wiring is replaced, including new fuse panel. I have many receipts. What you see, except for the machine work, was done by me in my garage over a 4 year span of time. I have been driving it since 2013. It is not perfect and I don't consider it done (is any hotrod?). I have moved and it is no longer practical to keep it, so here is your chance to take it to the next level or just enjoy the way it is.Included is a roller cam .660/.660, front shocks, extra paint and car cover.
