I bought this 62 Galaxie 500 in September of 2013 to be a semi-daily driver and restoration project. It is currently registered until November 2015.

The front springs master cylinder power booster brake lines and all four shocks have been replaced. The engine had a top-end rebuild and the 3-speed Cruise-O-Matic was rebuilt shortly before I bought it. The choke has been converted to an electric choke. The power steering valve was rebuilt a few months ago but now the pump has gone out and will need to be rebuilt/replaced. Included with the car is a rebuild kit for the power assist ram but it currently has no leaks.

Last week something happened to low gear and shrapnel spread throughout the gears and after parking it it wouldn't even roll in neutral. The driveline has been pulled so it could be moved back into storage. It will need to be towed at your expense.

It is a factory air car and all of the components are included but not installed although the vent/fan unit is still mounted under the dash and wired and it still blows strong. The heater core needs to be replaced and the heater has been bypassed.

All of the glass is good and there are no cracks. All of the window cranks work well and the doors close solid. It does need all window/door/trunk lid seals and the weatherstripping replaced.

The interior needs a complete restoration although the door panels could be cleaned and used if the plan was a restoration to factory specs (complete set of swatches come with the car). The dash pad has been removed as I was going to clean the metal dash and leave it unpadded. The headliner rods are still with the car as are all of the interior trim pieces.

Most of the chrome is still with the car. There are a few pieces that aren't seen in the photos that come with the car but just aren't on it right now including repainted fender badges as well as some of the body trim. The three that I know are missing are the hood emblem and the two rear emblems on each side of the rear window.
