Ford Mustang 1966 Description

Yes, this 1966 Ford Mustang is truly as cool as it looks and sounds. After all, when you add a Paxton supercharger to a 289 V8 and then paint the whole project in an electric blue, you are going to create one of the most unique first-generation Mustangs around. And just in case you didn't already believe it was the best, there's a shot of nitrous thrown in, too! It's ok to say "WOW!", because everyone else is too. The investment in the metallic blue and all that clearcoat is worth the price alone. Once you get this coupe out in the sunlight, it will radiate color to outshine just about any other classic around it. But don't get too focused on the paint, or you might miss some fantastic details. For example the bumpers have been polished so they can rival the blue for shine. Plus, this coupe has plenty of cool upgrades that keep the Mustang's iconic heritage in mind. For example, the front fog lights are from a GT package. The fiberglass hood with air scoop and metal pins is inspired by the '67 GT350. It even keeps the iconic steel wheel design, but now they are larger 17-inch units with a custom center cap painted to match the cool blue.Inside this one has all the right premium touches. It starts with a two-tone blue interior that coordinates nicely with the exterior paint. Ford's Comfort-Weave inserts give the buckets a racy look, while remaining comfortable enough for long-distance cruising. At first glance when you slip behind the woodgrain steering wheel, it might seem like a nice factory interior with the five-dial gauge package and original AM radio. But, then you start to notice plenty of performance-minded upgrades. There's an AutoMeter Cobalt tach with shift light added, which is a very nice companion to the Hurst stick. Plus, right above the auxiliary gauge panel are aircraft-style switches for the nitrous, fuel pump, and electric fan. Oh yeah, this is no secretary's car!The moment you pop the hood you can see the serious investment in this car. That shiny Paxton Novi-1500 supercharger looks great, and more importantly, gives this 289 V8 a serious upgrade in power. If that wasn't enough to get your heart racing, this has also been setup for a Zex Blackout nitrous kit with Zex rapid purge. With the ability to dial-in some serious power, the rest of the V8 was fortified to handle the performance. This includes a machined Edelbrock camshaft, Quick Fuel Q-750 BAN double pumper blower four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock Performer intake, Tuff Stuff Supercool high volume chrome water pump, Pertronix Flame-Thrower billet distributor, aluminum radiator w/electric fan, and Patriot Clippster ceramic coated headers. There's plenty more upgrades to list (like the optional methanol injection), but we just simply don't have the room to tell you all about this awesome motor here (give us a call and we'll go through it all!) Just know the moment you rev the motor and the dual exhaust gives a rumble, and the supercharger produces its whine, will be a truly awesome experience that you and everyone within earshot won't forget. Making sure you've got complete control over this total power package is a toploader four-speed manual transmission. For those times when you just want to cruise around in your street-eating custom 'Stang, features like power steering, front disc brakes, and modern Kumho tires will make a pleasant drive.Complete with owner's manual, you know this is the kind of classic build that only comes around once in a lifetime. How cool is it to drive a supercharged '66 Mustang? You'll never know unless you call today!
