Ford Fairlane 1963 Description

Looking for a sporty summer cruiser that will only increase in value over the years? Here you go! This is a 1963 Ford Fairlane 500 Sports Coupe. It is a California car that was shipped from Los Angeles to Minnesota eight years ago. It has been in dry storage for most of the last eight years. This beauty appears to have the original 260 V8 coupled with an upgraded C4 automatic transmission. It would have come from the factory with a 2 speed automatic, so the C4 (3 speed) is a wonderful upgrade. It has an Edelbrock intake and Edelbrock 4 barrel carburetor. It breathes through headers and dual Flowmasters. It has an Alpine CD stereo with 2 Alpine amps and a 12 inch sub. It has nearly new 15" tires and great Eagle Alloy rims. It has been upgraded to electronic ignition. It has the factory power steering. There are a few trim pieces that have yet to be installed from the repaint in 2008. (receipt included) Most all of the trim needed to finish this up is in the trunk. The rocker trim is not present, but this is easy to find through vendors like Mac's. One rear window crank appears to be missing. Some of the hardware for the outer part of the passenger door handle needs hooking up, along with the key cylinder for that door. But the passenger door opens and closes fine from the inside. Heater works. The antenna is missing, but the factory hole is there in the fender. Paint is driver quality with a few minor scratches and chips that are to be expected on an 8 year old paint job. Speedometer cable needs to be hooked up--odometer reads 98,673. A Vectra alarm system has been installed in the car. It comes with the owners manual. The original 1963 owner's manual from Ford is present! The factory AM radio is present but appears to be missing its knobs. The previous owner in California put vinyl on the top of the car. It looks pretty decent from a distance, but a seam or gap is present above the emblems on each C pillar. This could probably be covered with trim of some sort, or the vinyl could be removed to go back to the original factory look of a painted roof. Be sure to watch the video test drive below! This car sounds awesome! This car could be driven as is, or someone could easily put it back to stock condition and make a trophy winner out of it. It's a heck of a lot of fun to drive--trust me! This '63 is for sale in "AS IS" condition. Remember that this is not a new car. It does have some trim and door handle pieces that need finishing. The right guy could easily have this finished to his liking in a weekend. Deposit is due through PayPal. Balance is due through bank wire within a week. Balance must be paid through bank wire or cash at pick up. Please only place a bid if you are serious and have all of the money for the purchase. Test drives / inspections are welcome.
