Ford Thunderbird 1964 Description
I have for sale a very nice start to an easy restoration or if you like the petina look this one is ready to go. This car is a true Z code survivor, prior to my purchase sat in a 3 sided garage for the last 21 years. Her owner past away which is the only reason this car ever came up for sale. The body of the car is 100% rust free no cancer at all the car has 58k original miles a 390ci engine and cruise-o-matic trans. We have rebuilt the carb. The fuel system, the brakes (replaced lines, wheel cylinders, brakeshoesand rebuilt the master cylinder and booster so she now runs and drives great. The ac works as does the cruise controland power windows. The bad there is the top will not function on its own I have rebuilt the pumps but there is a limit switch issue. This can be resolved for another $650 spent at thunderbirdranch.com. This car will come with a clean clear title the original gate release as well as a bunch of other misc documents, maintainence records etc. The interior was redone to get rid of the musty odor from where the car sat for so long. Seats were recovered and the carpet was in greatshape so it was removed professionally cleaned and dyed. Floor and trunk pans are solid top is in fair shape and you can operate it with the solenoids just won't work from the switch. The chrome on the car is all there except for an H on the hood and can all be reused just needs rechromed. The body is filler free and straight no rust. All lights function and even the original stereo works this is a very very nice car and will not take a lot to make a a gorgeous show stopper. Bid to win and if you have any questions or want more pics call or text me 5405888232.Oh I almost forgot to add I have the speedster tonneau cover that I'm not sure but is believed to be a dealer installed option as you know the factory stopped offering this as an option in 63, and the car has the 48 spoke wheels. Nothing I can find proves or disproves this so it gives the car a little mystery.
All deposits are made in good faith that you will be completing the purchase and are there for non-refundable. If you have any questions call or text me you are more than welcome to come view the car Monday through Friday 8-6PM EST.
