Ford Mustang 1965 Description

This 1965, C-code 2 barrel 289 C.I., 1-code 3 speed manual transmission w/ power top was partially restored approximately 15 years ago and not driven much since. When restored the following was done: ¼ panels, wheel well housings, rockers, torque boxes, floors, fenders, bumpers, lights, top, fuel tank, sending unit, brake and fuel lines, aluminized dual exhaust, radiator, hoses, valances, door handles, door panels, carpet, auto sound cassette radio with front stereo speaker, kick panels, arm bases, rear frame rails, style steel wheels with 195/75R-14” Dayton tires, igniter (no points) ignition systems, trunk mat, painted Candy Apple red (original was code 3, poppy red) and many miscellaneous parts.

In 2015 the front brakes were converted over to Wilwood disc brakes with Wilwood master cylinder, adjustable proportioning valve, stainless steel flex lines, powered coated calipers, drilled and slotted coated rotors, new upper and lower A-arms, roller spring perches, tie rods, couplers, idler arm, rebuilt steering box, alignment, rear grab-a-track 5 leaf reversed eye springs, shackles, Shelby front end drop, rear brakes all gone thru and 4 KYB Gas-a-Just shocks.

The rear mounted antenna is original along with the “289 Special” orange engine (Ford engine plant was on strike so engines came from Fairlane).

The car is not “perfect”. It has nicks and chips; front and center of hood being the worst and tried to show that in pictures. The car handles great. The engine is original. It could use valve seals (smokes a little at start up and lifters make noise). The transmission works great. A car cover comes with it.

I’m pretty sure the 86,302 miles are original. Everything on the car works including emergency brake.

I can help with delivery for an extra fee.
