Ford Mustang 1968 Description

THIS IS A NICE RESTORABLE 1968 MUSTANG COUPE.
I ONLY RECEIVED A BILL OF SALE WHEN I GOT THIS CAR AND THAT IS THE WAY I AM SELLING IT. I DO NOT HAVE ANY OTHER PAPERWORK FOR THE CAR.
ALL OF THE TAGS TO THE CAR ARE STILL IN PLACE--DOOR TAG, DASH TAG, BUCK TAG AND FRONT APRON STAMPING ARE ALL PRESENT AND MATCHING.
THIS IS A 289-2V, AUTOMATIC CAR, BUT CURRENTLY BOTH THE MOTOR AND TRANSMISSION ARE MISSING.
THE CAR ALSO HAS FULL TINTED GLASS AND POWER STEERING.
ACCORDING TO THE DOOR TAG THE CAR WAS ORIGINALLY FROM THE VIRGINIA AREA SO THE CAR IS MORE SOLID THAN WHAT YOU NORMALLY SEE HERE IN THE NORTHEAST.
THE TRUNK FLOORS LOOK GREAT AND THE REAR FRAME RAILS ARE ALSO IN GREAT SHAPE.
THE FLOOR PANS LOOK GOOD IN THE BACK, BUT BOTH FRONTS WILL EITHER NEED SOME REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT.
UNDER THE HOOD THE SHOCK TOWERS ARE SOLID AND THERE IS ONLY A LITTLE RUST JUST STARTING ON THE TOP OF THE REAR APRONS.
THE PASSENGER SIDE FRONT APRON AND RADIATOR SUPPORT HAVE RUST (SEE PICTURES).
THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT HAS A FAIR AMOUNT OF SURFACE RUST THROUGHOUT. IT LOOKS LIKE THE CAR SPENT SOME TIME WITHOUT A HOOD ON IT.
THE FRONT FRAME RAILS LOOK GOOD, BUT THE PASSENGER SIDE HAS A FEW SPOTS THAT MAY NEED SOME ATTENTION.
THE TORQUE BOXES ON BOTH SIDES LOOK GOOD.
THE DRIVERS REAR QUARTER PANEL IS ORIGINAL AND LOOKS TO BE IN GREAT SHAPE.
THE DRIVERS DOOR SKIN HAS A DENT AND SOME RUST, BUT THE UNDER SIDE OF THE DOOR IS SOLID.
THE DRIVERS FRONT FENDER LOOKS SOLID.
THE PASSENGERS SIDE OF THE CAR WAS HIT EARLY IN LIFE. A USED A REAR QUARTER PANEL OFF OF A BLUE CAR WAS USED FOR THE REPAIR AND THE DOOR WAS ALSO CHANGED. BOTH NOW HAVE SOME RUST THAT WILL NEED TO BEADDRESSED.
THE PASSENGERS FRONT FENDER LOOKS SOLID.
THE ROOF HAS SOME DENTS FROM A BRANCH FALLING ON IT. THERE IS A FAIR AMOUNT OF SURFACE RUST AND THERE IS ALSO A RUST HOLE IN THE DRIVERS SIDE FRONT CORNER (SEE PICTURES).
THE HOOD AND TRUNK LID SHOULD BOTH BE USABLE.
THE INTERIOR NEEDS TO BE REDONE, BUT IS MOSTLY COMPLETE.
THE BRAKES WERE REMOVED TO MAKE THE CAR EASY TO ROLL AND ARE NOT WORKING.
AGAIN THE CAR IS BEING SOLD WITH A BILL OF SALE ONLY.
OVERALL THIS 68 MUSTANG WOULD BE A GREAT STARTING PLATFORM FOR A FATHER SON RESTORATION.
THIS CAR WOULD ALSO BE A GOOD PLATFORM FOR DOING A COUPE TO FASTBACK CONVERSION.
