Ford Mustang 1970 Description
Wow this was quite the car when it was new. 1970 Mach , r code(ram air shaker), 4 speed, 428 cobra jet, grabber orange, louver, rear spoiler etc. Here's what I know about it from the previous owner. He bought it back in 84 had it shipped from California to Michigan. It had already been robbed of its original drivetrain and was a roller. He installed a built 460 and c6 and painted it calypso corral. The car was then on the road up until 95. Then in 2000 a frame off restoration was started and never finished. When I aquired the car it was on a rotisserie and I have since mocked the car back together so could be easily moved back and forth in my garage. I just don't have the money it's going to take to restore it.
Definitely a huge project but hey it's not a rusted out piece in f junk either. The only rust that has is the rear frame rail( new piece included) and a little area in the trunk above the frame rail. It appears the car had full quarters installed at some point in the past and a trunk drop off passenger side.
Now it's had a lot of cutting on the underneath and modifications performed. It was in the process of becoming a 9 second drag car. It had a roll cage installed which I cut out for the most part but its base plate mounts are still there. It had full frame connectors welded in and will need a small 1"x5" patch on the driver torque. The rear torque boxes were beefed up with a plate of steel. The transmission hump and firewall had a huge chunk removed as he mocked up a tko600. The front of gas tank area was also cut for a fuel cell. I do have all these pieces to weld back in. The rear wheel wells were slit in the front and spread apart to get a little more tire clearance.
Trying to be as honest as possible about this car it has been chopped on and modified Ed but is still an excellent project car for somebody with great options and color. What you see in the pics is what you get . The hood isn't a shaker hood it was just a regular hood and was modified for breather. No drivetrain and the car has an 8 inch rear end in it now. Please ask questions if you have any 260-578-0379
I have most if not all of the fold down seat although roll bar holes were cut into some pieces. I do have a brand new gas tank new in box and the rotisserie the car was on is included with this car. I do have the original tach but it's not in the bezel. I do have the bezel and the clock bezel. Dashpad etc rimblow is pretty nice with only one crack. I know this car is missing parts as I bought it as a complete basket case lol. It has strange front hubs and no disc brake parts are included it does have the original disc spindles tho.

There is also a small section of rust on the passenger rocker under the fender that I forgot to mention again trying to be honest as possible. Again I have all the pieces he cut out trunk, floor and firewall to weld back in. Would consider a bin now if you come and look first thanks

Car has the staggered shock plate, cowl is mint no damage so no worries there, have console, wirin, extra rear valance, extra cowl cover, new gas tank in box, all moulding, all the interior is there including fold down. Extra numbers included. This is a very nice car with limited rust and great options. I have many many more pics I can text. Reserve lowered this car is a fantastic project for somebody . Everything can be stuck inside its got good tires shipping the car will not be an issue! I will work with you and the shipper.
My feedback speaks for itself lets get this car a new home. Good luck. Just want to reiterate again that ALL pieces that were cut are still there and a good metal guy could have it all welded in and grinder back down in a couple days. Doors, fenders, quarter panels, deck lid and hood are all completely rust free. Much easier restoration than a car with rust would be. Seats are in almost perfect shape, dash is nice, entire interior is very solid.
