Ford Mustang 1972 Description

1972 Mustang MACH 1
This car appears to have been kept in nice condition its entire life. The last two owners kept it many years. It is a genuine Mach 1 built in Dearborn on November 24, 1971. It has limited options including the Mach 1 package, power steering and brakes. I was told this car didn't come from the factory with a 4 speed transmission. It was told to me it was done early in it's life. It seems all correctly done. This has been repaintedat some point and done to a very nice quality. The sides are laser straight and the doors line up and shut beautifully. The glass is in good condition through out. The rubber body moldings are soft and original. The chrome is exceptional. The interior is in excellent condition. The headliner, door panels, seats and carpets fit nicely with little wear. The wipers, head lights, tail lights, turn signals, brake lights, dash lights, horn and heater motor function fine. And then there is the engine. I was told itis the original motor to the car but won't guarantee that. The engine sounds like you're at the starting lightsat thedrag strip, only well muffled. I don'tknow these later Fords [I'm an old Ford guy] but this has a fabulous sound, no matter what make or model from this era. It obviously has a serious cam and other modifications. It starts instantly and runs beautifully. The 4 speed is tight and it drives nicely at any speed. It is very fast, and if you prefer, it will light up the tires for a city block. The Mach 1 was built to drive every day and is very reliable. The radial tires are probably at least 20 years old with about 70% tread. They drive fine but you would probably want to replace them. Overall this is a nice car that you can drive anywhere, any time. It is being sold "NO RESERVE".
