Ford F-250 1969 Description

All original California 1969 Ford F250 Ranger Camper Special purchased new in 1968.

This was a one owner truck until 2013. At that time it was purchased at the estate sale of Disney animator who installed a cabover camper on the vehicle in 1968 and removed the tailgate and wrapped it in cardboard and newspaper. I still have the 1968 LA newspaper it was wrapped in. After the vehicle was purchased the second owner began the process of getting this truck on the road again after sitting for nearly 40 years. The camper was removed, tailgate installed and the following work was completed:

New Brakes

New heater core and cooling/heating system rebuild.

Thorough cleaning and detailing

Powder coated all 5 wheels

Brand New original Firestone tires-4

Replacement of miscellaneous chrome handles and hardware.

New battery and cables

Carburetor rebuild and tuning

New muffler and tailpipe

New fluids throughout.

(Have all receipts)

Original Paint

Body-NO Dents, None. Some surface patina on hood and top of bed rails.

All Original interior is immaculate and like new.

Ford Dealer Installed AC- COLD.

Original FE 390 Motor and C6 transmission.

If you have been looking for an unmolested, all original vintage Ford truck, this is it. This truck drives as you would expect a truck with less than 31,400 miles on it to drive. Runs strong, shifts tight and drives smooth and straight.

Known defects:

1) At 26,220 miles the speedometer needle stopped operating. I ordered a new speedometer/odometer. The odometer began self destructing (mileage numbers were peeling off) and I installed the new NOS speedometer/odometer at 26229 miles. I have unsuccessfully been able to get new odometer to match old mileage though I am told there are shops that can rebuild to achieve this. New Speedometer has 5200 miles on it at this time.

2) Small wear crease in driverside bench seat vinyl
